To see around 80,000 fans in Neyland for the Orange and White game? I know it's probably a longshot, but if you're a Vol fan, and you have no plans on Saturday, April 20th. Then get your ass up to Knoxville, and come watch the beginning of our "Rise To The Top"! The players need us, and coach Jones needs us! Plus we'd most likely gain national exposure, and you know it would impress the recruits to see how passionate Vol fans really are when it comes to Tennessee football! So what do you say VolNation, how about we pack Neyland? Go Vols!

Wins would be great too.

We've got a coach, and a staff that are going to pull out all stops to bring those wins back to Rocky Top. Butch is relentless in his work ethic, and will not accept defeat by no means. Butch is selling recruits on the Tennessee brand, and tradition of Tennessee football. He understands what's important. Recruits see it too. I have full faith that he'll have us competing soon, and possibly land us a top 5 recruiting class if he can string together a couple good wins this year. I believe in him!

First things first. Fill Neyland for the Orange and White game. We know how important wins in the fall will be for '14 class. Save the show it on the field comment for now would ya?

It was sarcastic for people that believe the Orange and White game or its attendance means anything.

Very similar things were said about Dooley when he got here.

"@UTCoachElder: "@OandWgame: In the last 7 hours 500+ Vol fans committed 2 attend the O&W game. Keep it rollin #OW2013"

The coaches have already started hyping the game. Im curious how many people they can get to turn out.

So you're support is based on number of wins??? That's the spirit....be a true fan and be optimistic! Support our team!! I'll be there...and I'd be there if we'd lost every game last year! Go Vols!!!

Got the sarcasm. Do believe huge attendance at the game is good for the program. Shows the great passion our fans have, the great support our fans give to the team- could show well for the next recruiting class. 75k fans would beat the hell out of crickets.

Dooley didn't have a winning pedigree on his resume either. I understand you're taking the wait and see approach, as I believe most are, but it's still important to support coach Jones for the time being. Even the former VFL's approve of him, and think he's the right man to lead Tennessee to prominence. Time will tell if that holds true, but we need to show up for the O&W game. It'll pump up the players, coaches, and recruits. I mean it's free! If you have the time on your hands to make it, then why not come out and watch the game?

My biggest reservation with Butch is that he never has had to completely resurrect a down program before. He has simply continued what Brian Kelly already had established. I agree that so far CBJ is saying/doing all the right things but if you remember, we all thought the same thing about Dooley when he first took over the program. I'm just at the point now where the hype means absolutely nothing to me. I will judge this coach simply by wins. Not by anything else. He has my support. However its not unconditional.

What is the "typical" attendance count for the O&W game. 30k?

He has always followed Brian Kelly, but his first year in Cincinatti the team left by BK had some pretty bad attrition. CBJ took the team and showed improvement each year.

Time will tell if he can do that here, but I have a feeling we'll know sooner than later.

How great would it have been to sign a highly ranked recruiting class?

If you had, maybe you could have gotten 80,000. But some good quotes at a press conference isn't going to do it.
