This is quite optimistic i know, but im just curious to what everybody thinks. If we were to go 5-1 which i see very possible and win the SEC Tourney what do you think that we would be seeded. What about if we went 6-0 and say lost in the championship game, or win out? I know that is very optimistic but anything is possible and i just figure it would be very interesting to see how high we may be able to get.

for the sake of arguement lets look at this picture. We win out, roll through Atlanta with a title. with the schedule we played. i see a 3 or 4 seed.

Our only "bad loss" according to espn and si is to Auburn. All the other teams werent considered bad losses, including the loss to Temple, their RPI is actually pretty high. Yea, i could see obvoiusly just for the sake of arguement if we won out that we could pull out a 3 seed. I'm hoping we can work our way up to around a 4.

I say if we go 5-1 down the stretch and get to the SEC Champ game we would end up a 5 easy, maybe even a 4.

I'd put this conference up against the Big 10 and Pac 10 all day long. Both of those conferences absolutely suck.

Oklahoma and Kansas could beat anyone in the SEC.

I'd take Arizona State and UCLA against most of the SEC teams.

But I do agree to a point. From top to bottom I think the SEC is better than both.

I do believe it was an Arkansas team(sec school) that beat both Texas and Oklahoma, just figured i'd throw that out there. I dont think the SEC is as bad as everyone says it is, im not saying they'd hang with the big east but i dont think that they are close to the worst major conference either.

What ooc evidence supports that the SEC isn't "close to being the worst? Without Oklahoma being ranked at the top people would discover that the Big 12 is a fraud. The Pac 10 and Big Ten aren't excactly loaded, but the SEC has no one that's showed any evidence of making a deep run in March. At least the other conferences all have multiple teams capable of making it out of round 1.

I think that LSU, TENN, UF, UK, and SC all have a decent shot of making it past the first round. You could possibly throw Miss St into the mix of that as well, as they are not that bad. SEC teams have played some decent ooc games and have beat some decent ooc teams. As i said im not comparing them to the Big East i just dont think that they are as bad as some people are trying to make them sound.

No, they haven't.

Check out this site, breaks it down very well.

I think we could be as high as a 2 seed and no lower than a 10. I do think we hit a hot streak. Defense seems to be playing its best ball of the year. I feel much better about this team now than I did 2 weeks ago.

My guess is a 5 seed

Oh, so you jumped back on the bandwagon?

you're giving all 4 of those teams more credit than they deserve.

I know OU is #2 and has Griffin, but they're relying on a historically shaky and senseless PG, a true freshman #2 man and a very streaky 3 point shooter to get it done.

UCLA can lose on any given night, ASU is respectable, but relies on one player far more than any decent team would and KU is very up and down.

There are alot of those bandwagoners around, about 2 weeks ago i couldnt count how many people were wantingto bet on UT going to the NIT and not making the Tourney. Now they have either dissapeared or have changed to the other side and decided that they will.

i agree oklahome just seems very inconsistent and i dont see them going that deep in the tourney. UCLA has been getting upset al year long. I like the mephis prediction, its very original i haent heard tha prediction yet haha. I suppose itis possible seeing as how they shouldn tlose aother game before selection sunday. They would need alot of help, buti suppose itis possible.

ASU is respectable, but relies on one player far more than any decent team would

Nation's leading FG% player: Jeff Pendergraph, ASU

% of shots taken by James Harden, ASU: 30%

# of other players who take a higher percentage: 109

Names of teams which feature such players: Memphis, Pittsburgh, Oklahoma, etcetera
