You're kind of a weirdly defensive guy.

Yes, the stat does not have flashing video nor fancy banner ads nor anything but simply the statistics. That is its point. It is not for entertainment purposes nor to attract someone who wants a 'cool' thing to look at. It is a freakin' spreadsheet, why on earth you want more from that is beyond me. Would you validate it if there was a picture of thabeet next to his name? I don't follow the criticism.

What particular stats do they not have there that you are interested in?

I'm sorry you got bent out of shape because you tried to call me out on something and it backfired in your face and you made like 20 posts that ended up being mistaken, I know that's kind of embarrassing and you want to save some face by ending with a gruff one-liner or something, but seriously: just move along and in the future try not to be so hostile when your starting point is wrong.

Now back to the topic of the thread please...

you're giving all 4 of those teams more credit than they deserve.

I know OU is #2 and has Griffin, but they're relying on a historically shaky and senseless PG, a true freshman #2 man and a very streaky 3 point shooter to get it done.

UCLA can lose on any given night, ASU is respectable, but relies on one player far more than any decent team would and KU is very up and down.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think either will make a big splash into the Final 4.

Without Griffin OU would be top 15 at best.
UCLA had silently made a run to 6th, but Arizona and Arizona State ended that.
Kansas is extremely young, but they have the talent to make a decent run in the tournament, however they have the lack of experience that could contribute to a first round loss.
Arizona State has Harden on offense and play good enough defense to keep them in games.

The argument should be that Arkansas, a bottom dweller in the SEC beat the best team in the Big 12 in Oklahoma and another upper echelon Big 12 team in Texas. Tennessee beat Sienna, a decent mid-major, Georgetown, a struggling Big East Team, and Marquette, an upper echelon Big East squad. Florida beat Washington, the Pac-10's leader. Therefore, the SEC, while down is not the obvious choice for weakest BCS conference despite its reputation in the media.

College of Charleston defeated South Carolina, what's your point?

kentucky lost to vmi, sc lost to charleston, vandy lost to ill-chicago and ga. tech, georgia lost to everybody, miss st lost to san diego, etc.

Plus the arky thing is silly, since the best team in the SEC(LSU) lost to the big 12's 9th ranked team(A&M), so that kinda ixnays that whole line of thought

I disagree. Saying LSU's loss to the 9th ranked team in the Big 12 makes void the fact that possibly the worst team in the SEC beat TWO of the best teams in the Big 12 is a stretch. Also, KY's loss to VMI was horrible, but they somewhat compensated for it by beating WV on a neutral court while FLA beat Washington, who is leading the Pac-10. Yes, Vandy has some bad ooc losses, but they obviously also arent very good in the SEC either. Lower teams in every BCS conference have bad ooc losses as well.

with a couple more wins...minimum 18 we will get in with either 7 8 or 9..
7 will be the highest and we will have to win 20 and win 2 in sec tourney...otherwise 8 or 9

look at rpi and SOS....this alone gets us in tourney even if we only get 17 wins IMO.
18 + we lock bid.

Apperantly close losses to borderline teams constitutes great ooc games by the SEC. Some argument.

I never said that they were great ooc conference games, but what i was impllying by that was that there have been some sec teams that have beaten, or been right there with some really good teams from other conferences. And like i said Arkansas one of the lower teams in the SEC beat both Texas and Oklahome, and Oklahoma being a team who many are predicting atleast an elite eight if not a final four. So it just goes to show that there is good teams and depth in the SEC, which is all my point was. I agree that it is not what it was the last few years but every conference hits a stretch like that, but my point is that i just dont think they are as much of a garbage conference as people are trying to make them out to be.

Is it possible that this team could be peaking at the perfect moment?

We won't really know until tourney time. I still say our peak last year was the game at Memphis, and it was downhill from there. If we can finish strong down the stretch and do well in the SEC tourney, I think it bodes well for the NCAAs.

little update for the junior who doesn't get bball:

Here's the difference between a meaningful player and a chump:

Onuaku: 2/2 shooting; 2 rebounds; 4 points

Pendergraph: 4/5 shooting; 11 rebounds; 16 points

NOTE that.
