How in the world

I Like the ol' underdog roll. Every spring, Bear Bryant would moan and B***h about his team not being very good that particular year and they would end up beating most of the teams they played. Let 'em all think we are not very good!!

Screw bear the drunk bryant

does Marques North get voted 3rd team All SEC?

Are there that many better WRs in the SEC?

I may be biased, but to me that is just crazy

I hope the players see the disrespect they are getting from the media. I hope CBJ put up screenshots of all the 4-8's and 5-7's from innumerable sports websites, and challenges his team to prove that they are better than that. Then hopefully, we will be sitting at about 7-4 after a Sr day win against Mizzou, and when the ESPN analysts ask where our newfound motivation came from that turned the team around, all that will be needed is a simple pointed finger to the audience of media "experts" in the interview room.

sounds like there going straight off his statistics last year, which doesnt make since cause he was a freshman and those are good numbers. In there thinking we dont have a qb to get him the ball is my guess

Many great WR's in the SEC, some are more proven if not more talented.

We must embrace our lack of respect. It can do nothing but motivated us. :loco:

Beginning to think the same. Channel the anger then go out and kick some ass.

ps: I think we're gonna need a bigger blackboard.:)

He didn't have as many yards as some did last season, but Cooper and Coates are up there with the help of their entire team.... North and others will be turning heads and moving up the polls by mid October...

All pre-season selections are based on backwards analysis of the past year. They stack the teams by their 2013 record and prioritize their research time accordingly. Those at the top get some actual research, those at the bottom get a glance at the roster and a "oh yeah, I heard about that guy" sort of analysis. As we work our way back up the list, these predictions will get a bit more accurate.

Preseason is BS in these ranking things! Lets see what they think of him at the end of the year.

Of the returning wide receivers in the conference, North finished 2013:

9th in receptions
12th in yards
Tied for 25th in touchdowns

A third team selection puts him above a few guys who outperformed him last year. That's giving a decent amount of respect to his potential.

Neither did Mitchell so why is he ranked ahead of North?

well it's hard to get any yards when you tear your acl in the first game before you catch a pass ... He was probably voted on for what he did his first two years , not too many more catches than North but more ypc and td's and his sophomore year I believe he spent time as a db too

He only caught 1 TD pass last year.

Yes he did. And what a catch it was...
