How long would

What's your point? Just because we suck right now and 8 wins sounds great doesn't mean 8 wins is nothing more then average.

My point is his 10 year average is a lot better than the 5 years of losing since his departure.

He's great but glad he's not in Knoxville coaching.

I don't think he's playing games this time around. He's the best coach in America and was trying to win three NC's in a row and 4 of 5. He commands top dollar in his profession and the fact that he, his agent, and the school reached this agreement this early says they are all committed. I doubt there is any Tom Foolery going on and if there were, Bama would gladly pay.

It's not money for Saban, it's ego at this point.

As for Saban I would not like it if TN was to hire him I don't care how many wins he got us. He's all about the money that's a coach I would not want

Texas fans are complaining about being "stuck" with 8 wins and Mack next year. If Butch won 8 next season there would be a petition to erect a statue of him next to Neyland's.

You dont think CBJ is about the money? All major college coaches are about the money and they have every right to be, these school arent loyal to the coaches anymore than the coaches are loyal to the school. Both are just hiding out waiting to stab the other one in the back for something bigger and better. College football is a money driven business and I dont blame saban one bit for doing what he did. If butch jones wins 8 or 9 games next year you dont think he will be lobbying for a raise and extension? If conzo makes the sweet 16 this year you think he will be content with his current contract?

Guess I'm shallow. At this point I would take a coach that bled national championships over one that bled orange any day.

75% of this board has determined that 5-7 with a loss to Vanderbilt now constitutes a good season. So, I'm guessing the answer is: They'll tolerate anything as long as you tell them to.

How do you get we think it's good season ?

Because we don't bash the coaches/players ?

Because we still believe in Tennessee football ?

No we don't really think it was a good year however I'm a Vol fan and not butthurt about it I know it'll get better.
