How many commitments come out of this weekend?

Tell Bama and the Dawgs, somebody didn't tell them recruiting doesn't matter anymore.
It doesn’t hold the same when kids are leaving and making millions… I’m the biggest supporter of we are no where close to bama and uga.. I know what I’m talking about. If you can’t see the issue than you were never a college football purist

I have no idea how many we get coming out of this weekend. All I know is our recruiting is on fire and it feels great to be a TN Vol!!!!

If recruiting doesn’t matter then why do the teams with the best recruiting classes win the most at the highest level?
It matters for the top kids in the nation. Getting hype for a kid that will transfer after freshman or sophomore year isn’t worth the time. That’s what I mean. Recruiting is dead when a kid who plays for us can lineup for UF next season. No rivals in recruiting anymore

I still think many elite recruits, not all, still want to see consistent successes from TN before committing. A 10-2 season would do wonders imo.

I say that since UGA, Bama, Ohio State are in contention for playoffs every yr. Success breeds success and I’m confident Heup will get us there. It will only get more difficult when Oklahoma and Texas join the SEC. It’s amazing how dominate the SEC is in recruiting and rankings on the field.

Can you name someone you miss that transferred since Heup became coach?

So how do you know what kid is going to transfer before they actually get on campus and play? Recruiting matters big time. Bits the life blood of a football program. If you aren’t recruiting at an ultra elite level, you aren’t winning championships.

Sooo… this is all in the realm of Tennessee football only.
my point is Tennessee is and always has recruited well. We are going to get good players no matter what. Now with the portal more of our these kids will leave because it’s so easy now (will be replaced anyways by incoming portal kids and another class)
What im trying to say is there is no point of following recruiting anymore when we are always going to get talent BUT now there is a larger chance of them leaving. So why get hype/bought into a player just to get heartbroken. At least when a player sucked they were still on the team for the most part
I’d rather as a FAN focus on the top obv recruits ( like Nico) and transfer portal to see who can actually help. Spending more time of Thornton for example over

If any of that makes sense lololol
