Last year in Ktown, we whooped the Mizzou Tigers 66-24. A true nail biter it wasn't. Missouri had wins at that point vs LA Tech, (always tough) Abilene Christian, Vandy and USCjr, w very close loses to Georgia, Florida, Auburn & KY. This year, we have identical overall records (7-2) and SEC records (3-2). Mizzou has wins against two ranked opponents: K State was #15 and KY was #24. The Vols do not have a Win vs a Top 25 team this season.

So, that being said, how many points do you believe we will beat Missouri by this Saturday in Columbia, MO? (and sorry, but if you think the Vols will lose and or are rooting for the Tigers, please go to their website and vote)

Go Vols!!!

How can we not have a win vs. a top 25 team? You list Kentucky as one of their wins. We beat them as well. Odd don't ya think?

I do think we win. I would like for us to win big but I will take a single point win as well. Points don't matter. Only the W.

I think we win by a field goal. This is going to be a tough game, especially for the defense because it will most likely be the same gameplan they used against Kentucky. Stop the run and force the QB to throw, which he will probably be able to do against our secondary. We just need to hope they get field goals more often than TDs and maybe we finally get the benefit of some holding calls against the opposing O-linemen.

Tried to do my best in the research department, as KY was ranked when Tigers played them. Anyone else's research department have something different??

Banks seems to have made the calculation that we can’t play a lot of man without Hadden and is playing soft conceding the quick, short throws. Essentially we’re back to the “bend, don’t break” of the last two years where it seemed we had gotten more aggressive. As you mention, it worked just well enough against UK. We’ll see how it works against Mizzou.

I voted 1-10. I see it being somewhere around a 5-point margin, give or take. However, I could see Mizzou coming out flat and us jumping on them. In that case it could be a three score blowout.

Yeah, it’s just tough to watch as a fan sometimes. I think they’ll get it done though.

Various teams this year have said that they were Tennessee’s Super Bowl. Mizzou fans this week, at least for me, would probably be right. I really, really want to win this game. And I think we will. But it will be close, it will come down to the 4th quarter and we will have to play a (relatively) clean game. But I like how we stack up against Mizzou. The key to me is how well we run on 1st down. If we can stay ahead of the chains consistently like we did against Kentucky, we will be fine. Winning this game probably means a trip to Orlando in the Citrus Bowl at the minimum with a chance for better next week.
