Watching the Alabama-Georgia game was a rollercoaster for us Vols fans. Part of me wanted Alabama to win since Georgia still has a tough schedule ahead and could pick up losses down the road. But as the game went on, Georgia looked shaky, which made me lean towards wanting them to pull it off, since Alabama seemed more dominant overall. The game was tight, and honestly, Bama didn’t do much offensively in the 2nd half besides that late touchdown, managing just a field goal up until then.

In the end, it’s hard to say who winning benefits us the most, but seeing Georgia struggle like that definitely gives me hope for when we play them. Both look beatable.

We saw if you contain Milroe you contain Bama. We saw how Beck reacts under heavy pressure. We saw neither team has a rushing game. We saw the need to score a lot of points when we play either of them.
I agree, it was the best of both worlds. Also, by no means am I happy when someone gets injured—I pray for everyone's health as soon as the game is over and hope they get back to 100%. But if their line can get banged up, like Georgia being down to their 3rd-string center, that only helps our defensive line feast even more.

I think we saw both teams are good, but beatable tonight. If Tennessee wins 1 game vs those 2 and takes care of buisness in the other games, we're playoff bound. UGA and Bama aren't the boogie man anymore. So let's stop worrying about them and go one game at a time. Next up is Arkansas.

I was hoping UGA would tie and then they would go several overtimes to decide the outcome.

First half I was really concerned about Milroe and Bama. They were playing lights out. Milroe was 11/11 starting out, and not on gimme’s either. UGA looked lost and confused on both sides, but Bama had their foot on the gas all half.

Second half calmed me down a little bit. UGA centered themselves and showed how one dimensional Bama is on O. They rely too much on Milroe’s legs for the ground game. Milroe also struggled to hit passes until he hit that home run late to retake the lead. UGA stalled them out for a few drives to get back into it. I think we can play a disciplined game on D at home. Bama’s D played pretty good but their young DBs were exposed a bit in the second half. They are all freak athletes but Beck torched them for three scoring drives.

I think we have the advantage on the DL and with our RBs. Both teams looked simultaneously great and terrible at times.

We should feel like the #4 team in the polls. I think tex stays 1, bama jumps to 2, osu stays at 3, Vols move up to 4.
I think Texas slips because they struggled with Mississippi State but pulled away late. Ole Miss being behind us and losing is good because sometimes teams get pushed back in the rankings even if they were on a bye week and still undefeated. Also, Miami going down to the wire with an unranked team is good because it will push them back. I agree the Vols will probably move up to 4.

every time i saw bama score i looked at the Georgia sideline and felt happy.

every time i saw georgia score i looked at the faces in the crowd @ bama and felt happy.

Very enjoyable game when viewed in that manner!
All the big swings in emotions on both sides. We can look at the fans and players completely detached as if observing a science experiment or Pavlov's dogs. Very entertaining.
