How Stupid Is Governor Ron Desantis?

I dont fit in an idealogical box, as much as you being a Dem and not accepting all the tenants of modern progressive liberalism. I put this issue more in the vein of libertarianism, not conservatism. I suppose if you are libertarian, it really equates to anarchy. I am also pragmatic and not an idealogue, in that many of my beliefs face hyprocrisy or conflict.

The bullsh-t is strong with your response....

I believe more in small govt than most of the far right does on here...

It isn’t a conspiracy when they openly admit that is the plan.

To be clear, what's happening is the market and free people are trying to fix the cow fart problem, and you with the establishment, and the lobbyists, and the government are saying "Not on our watch."

You are on the side of the conspiring parties!

When you're saying this issue is more in the Libertarian box, I'm confused. Are you talking about the protected liberty of cattle producers to continue their vocation without government shutdown over global warming?
Or Libertarian in another way on the issue?

It's not anything any of us will have to worry about, but eventually society may need to choose between some type of lab grown foods or everyone living it high rise towers. The math between population growth and the amount of farmable land looks tricky over time.

The production of red meat (which is absolutely my favorite food) is pretty inefficient. I think about 1/3 of vegetables that are grown are used to feed animals. When you throw in biofuels, it boils down to about 55% of crops end up as human calories.

Ehh, there will be a virus, natural disaster or the sun will take out enough of us before we get to that point.

I miss the days of tramping around where wild things are and harvesting wild edible plants for dinner. Price-free, tax-free, and yummy. Darn parking lots, malls, grocery stores etc.

exactly why you ban this BS..they want to creep it into exitance where it willeventually be the only choice.

I think that you are more afraid of hypothetical fears (that really have no basis) than you are afraid of reducing personal liberty, which is a shame.

no basis..yea right.
I am not a libertarian..I believe in a social construct with governance and law. True libertarianism that you espouse is really anarchy.

OK, that's fine. You don't have to be a libertarian of any kind, but there is a big difference between being an extreme libertarian and being afraid of the freedom to eat bugs, and you should probably be something in between.
