Why?No GOP needs to take the high road and not even entertain it. This nonsense has to stop.
I mean... it is just a job interview after all so the bar is a lot lower. I’ve heard that somewhere before
Did Jesus exist? Probably. Did he perform miracles (defined as a violation of a law of nature)? I have more reason to believe that the reports of those miracles are false than that they occurred. What's more likely--that a flesh and blood man literally walked on water or that something much more mundane happened (lie, inaccurate testimony, hallucination, etc). When it comes to miracles, it's always going to be more likely that something pedestrian has happened than that a miracle occured.
One of his best pieces of work. Read it if you haven't read it before.
Hume on Miracles
A miracle is simply something done that mankind is unequipped yet to understand.
Its not magic.
It is science. Just science we do not know yet.
God doesn't work in smoke and mirrors. He works in atoms and particles.
Is it hypocrisy to expect the Dems to react to one of their own being accused in the same way they would react to a Republican being accused? It's not about guilt or innocence, IMO, since I doubt either can be proven so long after the fact. It's about the double standard applied. We constantly hear how horrible Trump is(and I don't disagree, he is a horrible person), yet Biden gets accused and suddenly everyone's defending him. Two POS guys are running for President. You can argue degrees and continuums as luther loves to do, but it doesn't change the fact they're both pieces of ****.
It's all hypocrisy.
Truthfully, I don't believe any of the accusations that suddenly come out after decades - and how the revelation seems to coincide with a surge in polling (e.g Herman Cain), a nomination like Kavanaugh's or Biden's right after he gets the democratic nomination.
I don't disagree. By waiting so long to report, and by doing it especially when the person is all of a sudden in the headlines, the accusers lack credibility. I have serious doubts about Biden's accuser. But that's not my problem with all of this. My problem is Biden quickly changing his tune from "we must believe women" to " we must vet the accusations" as soon as it was his ass in the line of fire. He didn't want to afford that same courtesy to the other side. And his supporters are eating it up. The hypocrisy is so blatant and in your face, it's impossible for me not to call it out as bull ****. Even though I doubt he did what he was accused of doing. Trump gets called on his BS all the time. Biden should be no different. The man is a politician, and his only morals are politics. He's not as different from Trump as some want to pretend. They're both POS IMO.It's all hypocrisy.

From a realistic point of view - what's Biden or any of the other accused supposed to do? One can either admit or or deny it, there is no gray area as any hedge would appear to lend itself to guilt.
I think we can both agree that If Biden is guilty of anything, it's inserting himself into a conversation where he should have anticipated being on the business end someday.
That's my point. Biden could admit he was wrong to insist "women must be believed". He won't, because it's bad optics. What he's saying now, now that he's the one being accused, is what he should have been saying all along. Allegations should be taken seriously and investigated. They should not be believed without actual evidence. But he was playing politics when he made those statements.
We both know Trump constantly gets criticized for putting his foot in his mouth, and that's fair. Biden should be no different, unless you're letting politics sway you. Both sides should be held to the same standards.
We were told that the accusations alone disqualified Kavanaugh
We sure were and those people were wrong. The accused deserve due process in this country. I think even the Democrats realize this now. This whole thing with Biden is a huge setback for the MeToo movement. In fact it might kill it all together.
Biden should have known that this sort of accusation could happen to anyone before he said that women should be believed. That was poor judgment on his part to not see this coming. Judgment is one of the most important traits I look for in a leader. This incident is a knock against Biden and I'm not convinced that the assault ever happened...
