So today i started thinking about the things that i have done that prove that i am a die hard Tennessee fan. For instance, when we won the national championship, me and my dad drove an hour in the snow at 2 in the morning to get our National Champion shirts. or how the guys at verizon know that if Tennessee lost a close game the night before you can probably count on seeing me the next day to pick up a new phone (given that you have to throw something and for some reason it's always right there to throw). So i thought it would be interesting to see what other people have done in the heat of the moment. good or bad. any good stories?

I live in Texas and all my friends call me Tennessee (I am a proud supporter of all things Tennessee). I have also been receiving harassing phone calls from them over the last few years.

I went to my first FB game in 1964, first BB game in 1967 and graduated in 1976. Can't imagine being a fan of any school but ours.

I hate the whole state of Alabama, even though I've never been to the state of Alabama

all other teams disgust me. All other fans make me want to puke. This is the only school for me! Go Vols

I don't think the craziness of actions are the best indicators of being a fan. I think it is more about how much you are thinking about the vols throughout the day. I don't put my self in danger to go get T-shirts and what not, but I am on volnation for a good 2-3 hours a day even when I am home.

I also don't throw phones when we lose but I do feel sick for a few days afterwards. I also shake when the game is close to ending and we are about to lose if we don't convert or make a stop. I could never play the game :)

I named my son Peyton. Only because my wife wouldn't let me name him Smokey. After my wife and I were pronounced husband and wife, we walked down the aisle to Rocky Top. We got married in the Fall of '07. On UT's open date. Yeah, I planned the wedding.

I still donate and get season tickets (driving 6 hours one way to go to games) with MH as the AD making questionable hires

I'm the first kid to not go to Michigan State in my family. I cheered for UT 2 years ago in the Elite 8 game.

When your favorite Vol when you were in high school was crazy #57 LB Steve Kiner - you know you bleed orange. When you sat in the north end zone bleachers and watched Steve Delong singlehandedly manhandle whole offensive lines - you know you bleed orange. When you saw Dale Brown rush the court to "protect" Shaq at TBA - you know you bleed orange. When you start wishing you could hear Bobby Denton say "Please pay these prices and pay no more!" - you know you bleed orange. When tears come to your eyes as the band forms the "T" - you know you bleed orange.

As a kid I had an entire orange and white bedroom, bedspread, curtains, carpet, chandelier, the works. As an adult, I have an entire room in my house dedicated to VOLS memorabilia. I never miss a game and I cannot sleep worth a Sh#t after we lose. I also hate Alabama and the Gators with a passion. I broke up with a Gal when she could not understand that I must watch my VOLS or else. Even though I could have went to school anywhere, I went to KTown.

I get road range everytime there's an Alabama, Kentucky or Florida plate on a car around me.

I go out of my way to make sure I have orange Gatorade+vodka for Saturdays.

I've sat on the phone for hours to order pay-per-view to watch my beloved vols.

I take off work for Signing Day.

I have a VOLS room at my house.

I wore a white tux and orange tie at my wedding.

My kids baby pics are in Vol gear.

when the hair on your arms stand up and you get chills and tears whenever the band forms and vols run through the T,then, you are all orange.

Please be careful. I have Ky plates but a TN plate cover and an orange power T on my back glass. Just look closely before you kill me.
