I was born into a die-hard Tennessee family. When I was a baby, I was the pride of one section in Neyland after I said "dirty gator" at a UT/UF game in Knoxville. My parents would always tell me that I never sat with them at the games; they'd just bring me and everyone would pass me around. My parents also bought me an XL Vols t-shirt to use as a blanket when I was a baby, and 20 years later I still wear the shirt, occasionally.
We've since moved, and I'm a current student at Mississippi State. The atmosphere and environment in Starkville don't even touch that of Knoxville. I've been dating a girl from this area for 3 years now, and she is slowly changing into a VFL.
I get goosebumps just being on the UTK campus, seeing the Vol Walk, feeling the ground shake when the defense steps on the field, feeling the fireworks rattle your innards after a big Orange touchdown, etc.
Knoxville is Knoxville, nothing touches it.
