I have never understood everyone's hate for the term "fast twitch". and Yes he would be considered "fast twitch".
~The Expert...
There are basically 2 types of muscle fibers, fast twitch and slow twitch......Certain people may have a higher ratio of one type or the other, that's one of the reason why some athletes are great at long-distance/ cardio activities, ie bikers, runner, swimmers, etc.....and some athletes are great at explosive movements, ie basketball, sprinting, jumping, boxing, etc.....
The more you train, the more your body adapts....so if you train for more distance activites, then your slow twitch muscle fibers become more developed, but it could possibly make you less explosive, and vice versa......
The stereotype was that Black people had more ratio of fast twitch muscle fibers to slow twitch, so they are more explosive, but cannot last as long, as their slower white counterparts.......but seeing the Kenyans winning Olympic Gold medals in long distance has somewhat disproved the racial component to that theory, but it could be considered a general stereotype.
So, the fastest twitch athletes are going to be a certain size, bone structure, body composition, and probably the black athletes will have a higher ratio overall, but it's not every time, just in general.......I hate to make stereotypes, and they are still doing research in this area......
hope that helps........i hope i didn't offend anyone......
