You are SO wrong. You can't "train" fast twitch muscle fibers. You have them or you don't. Fast twitch muscle fibers affect someone's quickness. Slow twitch muscle fibers are weight training muscles.
There is also evidence suggesting African America's genetically more likely to have more fast twitch muscle fibers than other races.

i'm not going to pretend to be an expert on this subject but all of the information that i had found on muscle fibers suggested that slow twitch fibers typically meant a leaner body type, and fast twitch fibers meant a thicker body type...and that while people are born with a dominant muscle type training in certain activities can help you develop muscle fibers in accordance with your training. like i said i am not an expert by any means and i will certainely concede to anyone who knows more about the topic than me, i am merely stating the information that i have found on the topic.

I have found that if I have an asian crush, Korean women look better to me than Japanese women. This is of course all based on genetics.

being "thicker' doens't automatically mean u have more type 1 (slow) twitch fibers.......u can be very explosive and very skinny.......(nuke, etc).......

body comp plays a role, for sure, but it's not about fat, it's about the makeup of the muscle fibers themselves......so, if u'r curious, I suggest u google it and do some research........

honestly, u don't know much about athletic performance, and muscle fibers........i was just posting to be helpful, not to insult anyone on here.........
so i suggest u do some research, so u can learn the difference between type 1 and 2 muscle fibers......and the sub-difference (type 2-a and type 2-b)

and look up the differences in athletes based on genetics and race, to see if there are any patterns that emerge.....if you are interested in learning the truth......if not, then u can believe that you will run a 4.1 forty is you start running alot........:eek:lol:

i definitely am not taking any of this as an insult (even though your sarcastic smilies kind of hurt my feelings) you've obviously devoted far more time to this subject than i have so i will concede my argument to you...however, if you ever want to contrast offensive and defensive realism as they pertain to great power interventions in the periphery then i'll wipe the floor with you...:)

well what does it mean? offensive and defensive realism in the periphery? wtf?

it's a debate amongst political theorists as to why major international powers such as the united states, or germany at the turn of the century become embroiled in conflicts in nations that pose no real threat or provide any significant strategic gain...offensive realist suggest that they involve themselves in these conflicts in order to implement their own agenda's onto the states in question and thus improve their international standings...defensive realist's insists that they intervene in order to protect themselves from any perceived losses in international power or prestige and therefore restore their own predetermined expectations of the status quo. as you can see none of this has anything to do with muscle fibers.:)

not a genius by any means...merely a student trying to become a lobbyist who is required to read more books about government than any human being should ever be forced to.

I feel like I jumped down the rabbit's hole. I couldn't tell what this thread is about.:elephant:
