Exactly. I think most of us can agree that we are in a much better spot than we were with Dooley, Jones and Pruitt, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t still have a long way to go to become elite. We were 10-2 in the regular season this year, but with multiple issues on both sides of the ball our record could have easily been worse and can easily be worse next year. It isn’t unreasonable to wonder if the problem lies with the coaches or players or both and to wonder if those issues can be corrected by the current coaching regime. I’m definitely not calling for Heuple to be fired at this point because we could end up back where we were a few years ago, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t at least pose the question about whether or not he is the coach that can make us elite.
