Huge game for the greatest Vol to ever play this Sunday.

Read this hot tweet a few minutes ago: Put all your money on Brady and the Patriots. Deal has been signed. Satan

Greatest vol?

why?

he never even beat Florida.

it is disrespectful to the guys who actually led us to championships to rank him as the greatest.

he is great in the NFL but in college he was above average ...not a champion though.

Rooting hard for Peyton and the Broncos. That Broncos D will have to step up bigtime, though. Losing Chris Harris and Von Miller hurts.

Above average?? GTFO. Yeah he never beat Florida. Last I checked there were 21 other guys on the field at the same time. The game plans were flawed each and every time Manning was QB VS the Gators. Our goal was to out score them as opposed to beat them up like we did in '98, 00 and 01.

This IS a huge game for PM and the Broncos. Mark it: Belichick will play conservative pass defense and force PM to run the ball again and gamble that he will get impatient and throw into coverage. Be happy running the ball--and put a stake in the vampires from new england.

As a Chiefs fan I hate the donks. That said, go Peyton. I hope they destroy Brady and the Pats.

Go Broncos!! Peyton and co. will be ticked off about collapsing against the Patriots earlier in the season so much they will play harder than ever before. Peyton is the GOAT (not trying to start another debate, JMO) and it will show.

Al Wilson does not play for the Broncos anymore....Seriously though, I wish Peyton the best.

I don't claim to be a student of the game but I am old...we could not be more fortunate to have Peyton as a representative of our university....he is the best....the absolute best, on and off the field...bar none.

Except that Tennessee did win the 1997 SEC Championship in Peyton Manning's senior season. He was also 39-6 as a starter and his stats were certainly better than "above average". As for the Florida games, 1995 was on Jay Graham's fumbles and an inept secondary and kicking game, 1996 can be pinned on him slightly but he did throw for 492 yards in that game which was a UT record until Tyler Bray's game vs Troy in 2012, 1997 can be pinned on him due to the early pick six that gave Florida a 14-0 lead but playing Mark Levine at RB instead of Jamal Lewis is still the bigger story in retrospect.

I will be rooting for the Broncos. Manning will be part of that decision. However, I will not pretend that he's the greatest Vol to ever play. He is probably the greatest Vol to play THIS Sunday. Atkins, Lauricella, Feathers, White, Suffridge, and others can lay claim to being the greatest Vol to ever play.

You did an uncanny impersonation of Tee at the line....analyzing a defense :loco:

butchna,

I don't know what you've been sipping or if you've changed meds in the last couple of weeks but keep it up! Your "one-liners" are pretty damn funny. :good!:

Pulling for Peyton, but even if they beat the Patriots I can't imagine anybody stopping the Seahawks this year.

I can. They are not nearly as scary on the road, and they have their flaws. I know stopping Lynch is a very tall order, but containing him is the key. Russell Wilson is an average QB at best, especially on the road. Make him beat you. The Seattle secondary is tough, but they do hold a lot. If the refs call it close, they could get a couple of P.I. penalties at bad times. Less likely in the Super Bowl, I know. The Seattle front 7 can be run on. The Denver backs could make the difference if they get that far. Seattle is far from invincible. Oh, and Pete Carroll is a douche.

TN scored 20 points to beat FL in 1998. Manning scored at least 20 points against them every year he played- the difference- the defense only gave up 17 versus 62, 35, & 33. Manning doesn't play defense (maybe he would have gotten the Heisman if he did). An offense can only do so much. It sucks to read these idiots everyday that say he can't win the big one (even though he has!), but now someone that is a TN fan is spouting this garbage.

I don't know if that's the solution. Moreno ran for over 200 yards on the Pats and they still lost. I think Peyton is going to have to have a HUGE game to win.
