Above average?? GTFO. Yeah he never beat Florida. Last I checked there were 21 other guys on the field at the same time. The game plans were flawed each and every time Manning was QB VS the Gators. Our goal was to out score them as opposed to beat them up like we did in '98, 00 and 01.

I will be rooting for the Broncos. Manning will be part of that decision. However, I will not pretend that he's the greatest Vol to ever play. He is probably the greatest Vol to play THIS Sunday. Atkins, Lauricella, Feathers, White, Suffridge, and others can lay claim to being the greatest Vol to ever play.

he is great in the NFL but in college he was above average ...not a champion though.

Huh? He was 39-6 as a starter, won an SEC title (pretty sure that makes him a champion) beat some damn good teams in bowl games, held virtually every SEC passing record and should've won Tennessee's 1st and only Heisman trophy....did win the Maxwell Award and many, many more top awards. He was an historically great college QB and will be a first ballot hall of famer. WTH?

Just stop. Above average? He left with every SEC quarterback record and every QB award in the nation. He parlayed that "above average" college career into the #1 pick in the draft. If there is a list of greatest Vols he would be right at the top.
