The idea was they wanted to make headlines. Saturday was the SECCG, then they thought it would get buried in the national media by the team selections from committee for the playoffs after that. There has also been reports that Enos was interviewed this morning.
There was last minute interviews and they want a slow news cycle. I think we are going to be happy. I expect something today or tomorrow.
This is all JMO, by the way.[/QUOTE
Interesting. I was thinking they threw his name out early to check fall out/ pushback, negative commentary. At the same time going through the interview process w other candidates.
I'm going back and forth between a euphoric and nervous anticipation. My brain is telling me that one of the realities of being a TN fan this century is soul crushing disappointment so expect a Friend type of hire. My heart is telling me that times have changed and we really are going to reel in that big fish named Hugh Freeze so it's okay to start hooting and hollering.
It's the enteral conflict of the Volunteer soul
That said, this has been a fun thread and I don't care that he thinks he was right. Who knows, maybe he does have a source and they were wrong about the timing. I don't care. I ain't asking him for an autograph.
Thread has over 2400 posts. I'm glad he started it.
Remember the Gruden threads where we'd all be counting down the last few posts so we could hurry up and start an new thread and try to get on the first page! Good times.
Hey, ain't we about halfway to "Freeze to be announced II"?
Some of y’all are relentless.
A lot of them are. I can't stand listening to Hooker. My point was that they all value their own opinion (otherwise they wouldn't be on the radio), but I don't know of any of them who's opinion matters to anybody else.I mean absolutely no disrespect, but Ainge comes off as a tool, but it doesn’t necessarily mean he is one though I suppose.
