I think there are several great OC opportunities for us to look at..but I will be mad as hell if bama lands freeze. I mean why at this point..let's give them belichick and Carrol for good measure..I just want to get a jump start on rebuilding and get out of the shadow of bama/UGA

There is an argument being put out that if Tennessee were to have hired Freeze, they would invite the NCAA to camp out on campus due to Freeze's baggage he brings. The argument continues with the statement that Tennessee would not want the NCCA sniffing around while it tries to improve the roster with 4* and 5* recruits. The reasoning is that Pruitt and staff are going to have to cheat at least a little (maybe a lot) to compete with Bammer and Georgia for the top HS players. Alabama, on the other hand, is already stacked with 4 and 5 star players. They could afford the political capital to bring in a risky hire like Freeze. Heck, they probably can tell the NCAA to get lost. UT had this recruiting edge in the late 90s and early 2000's.

He will be there one year and then they will be looking again. IF we can snag Enos there is a real possibility of getting Hurts. Whether you like him or not, he WOULD NOT be at Bama anymore and we would have an OC for at least 2 maybe 3 years who wouldn't be bad IMO.

Amazing how uncommitted to win our university is compared to other schools. Even more amazing fans continue to put up with it and pack the stadium.

Amazing how uncommitted to win our university is compared to other schools. Even more amazing fans continue to put up with it and pack the stadium.

When I lived in Tennessee I knew family, friends, neighbors, coworkers etc. that were "fans", went to games, wore orange garb, watched the games on TV....but didn't keep up with it like some of us. They couldn't tell you who the OC was. I mean, come on, you don't know people like that? They go to the games for entertainment and the novelty as much as anything.

So that said...let's land a quality OC most everyone on the list is pretty good/Worthy as long as our pesky Coach agrees.

It's very easy to view winning as everything when you have absolutely no responsibility for the consequences of your decisions. We, as fans, have no responsibility for the consequences. The leadership of the university has absolute responsibility. With that in mind, their perspective is going to be somewhat different. In my opinion, that does not equate to a lack of commitment to winning.
