agreed but we have not been the same since the Mattress Fires of Kiffin....

A lot of self inflicted wounds.....by all administration and fans but I understand the fans passion more than I understand the incompetence of the Administration

Thought this kind of Chaos was over when Fulmer took over and the BOT changed and Haslam in the back seat.....but it hasn't, we continue to be in a vicious 360 degree cycle. Ran a lot of good fans off with this...

This is an OC hire and we can't seem to do anything without drama....Plenty of Candidates out there that got eaten up....

It’s a fact that it didn’t happen yesterday.

He could have made it all up or his source could have made it all up.

Who our OC will be is about 10th on the list of what Vols should be concerned over.

I'd say that's top 3 easy. Butch made the wrong move, and we went winless in conference and had our first ever 8 loss season. It should be a top priority.

You joined Friday, just to say that? Anyone that has been here for a bit, knows what happens when you share “inside” info and it doesn’t pan out. Everyone knows that they are dealing with a fanbase that is just plain tired of the bull shi$t that seems to be shoved on us, non stop for at least ten years.

Well no, the one thing we know with absolute certainty is that he lied. It might be argued about what ALL he lied about, but he certainly said if the announcement wasn't yesterday he would out his source. And then didn't.

You know, maybe be there isn’t that much real chaos going on.

We have media reports of undetermined veracity, and VN posts edging on hysteria, and a tweet from Randy Boyd saying the OC search is in the hands of CJP and the AD.

Meanwhile, we’re all running around like chickens with their heads cut off, clucking and squawking and flapping our wings about hypocrisy and incompetence and interference and the HOH (which I loathe, btw), all based on... what, exactly?

Helton has been gone a week (presumably with foreknowledge by the AD), we’re coming to the end of SEC Championship weekend (noses pressed against the window yet again), where maybe there is some general request by the SEC Commish to all teams to avoid distractions, and here we are pouring gasoline on mattresses again.

Maybe we should chill a bit? Although it’s not nearly as much fun, I do realize.

Some are too far sure, but nobody forced them to run to their PCs and post anything either. Not to mention, the past 10 years this place has had many coaching searches full of so called "insiders" posting "totally legit" info and it turned out they were FOS. So OP knew what they were getting into when they posted what they did.

1000 x on the chill comment. I know it has been a while but, it would not hurt to act like we are a top 20 team and show recruits we get things done without a social media dumpster fire on every freaking, sorry Freak, thing that doesn’t start off with a “boom”.

The most comical part is how much of the “bull shi$t” you claim that is actually self inflicted by the fan base. Why do people continuously believe anything that doesn’t come directly from the Athletic Department? We LOVE rumors. It’s like junior high in here. Don’t get me wrong...I love this site but many on here need to grow up and quit allowing your lives to revolve around what is or isn’t said on a message board. Everyone should know by now not to believe it until the AD announces it. If you choose to believe unnamed sources or don’t, more power to you.
