I dont see anything wrong with that. It's not exactly a secret that CP's not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

They were talking about him not running the correct routes when asked how is he didn't know the correct routes to run, Hyams said "I guess he is a little...(pause)....challenged. Yeah all time all purpose yards record this season, thanks Jimmy.

I don't think you get "challenged" which is going to make this thread awesome

great player, slow learner....I'd still keep him if his academics allow which does not appear to be the case.

Somebody will find a spot for a 'challenged' athlete like CP at the next level. Jimmy also said of CP, 'he isn't enamored with going to class'. I'm glad the kid had a good year and will have an opportunity to financially take care of his family.

By the way, damn that cheek. The academic restrictions really make it difficult to get someone who isn't a rocket scientist into Tennessee.

Just isn't fair

Banging on a kid for the intellect he was born with is a cheap shot imo.

Agreed. So he isn't book smart, big deal. He has another God-given skill set that makes him far more valuable monetarily than 99.9% of all other college students.

UM-----I see nothing on here but fact reporting. What you are born with doesn't matter as much as what you do with it.

If what you were born with doesn't allow you to meet academic requirements, it really doesn't matter what is 'done with it'. There's a reason he went to JUCO.

True enough. Laziness; (if that is an issue) won't cut it at the next level---lots of studying in the league.

That comment was made about Terrell Owens during his entire NFL career and he had a pretty good career and made lots of $. Jimmy, I think CP is going to laugh all the way to the bank about that comment.

You and I are on the same page. He'll have to find a way to figure out the playbook. That was reported as a challenge many times this season. To think he struggled with it and still had such a phenomenal year is mind boggling.

I see kick returner and go patterns in his future.

Not in Denver; though.

Ya'll do know that it has already been reported that he is probably going to nfl and won't be back correct. I believe he is projected early first round. Him, Hunter, and Bray are probably gone. Nothing to do with grades.

Really. I am betting if UT had gone bowling---there would have been casualities.

He made it sound worse than it is. He should have said he doesnt understand how to read defenses and because of that he often runs the wrong routes. The way he said it makes it sound like the guy cant understand what a fly route is and thats BS. I would take eleven CP's and beat the hell out of every team in the nation. With talent like his, you dont have to study defenses to be able to beat 'em.
