Hyams said Patterson is "Challenged"

CP gave us one of the best single season performances we have ever seen at UT and didn't even know what route he was supposed to run half the time.

Let that sink in.

I don't think you get "challenged" which is going to make this thread awesome

CP may as well declare. From what I hear, he doesn't attend class regularly, and is smart as a rock. Eligibility will be an issue ; for sure.

If by "class" you mean Whiskey Dix on the Strip you are dead wrong, my friend. He attends "class" pretty much every night.

By the way, damn that cheek. The academic restrictions really make it difficult to get someone who isn't a rocket scientist into Tennessee.

Just isn't fair

It is sad that a Gator fan sees right through the bull**** and a large group of UT fans cannot. It is almost like outside perspectives can be valuable. Nah. Damn troll.

CP (with the exception of one play) has given great effort all year. He came in and fit in with his team and by all apearances was / is a good teammate. I was also not the best learner in school. Glad volnation and Hyams wasn't around then to dig at me. I met CP and his mom a few hours after the Troy game. I went up and thanked him for his efforts and for being a Vol. I wished him well in the future and told him to keep it up and he would be able to do great things for his family. THROUGHOUT our brief conversation CP continued to use words like "yes sir" and " thank you sir". Most people could learn a lot from a brief comversation as to how to interact with others. With that attitude and show of respect for others CP will be able to overvome whatever "challenges" come his way. GBO!

The recruiting pitch was to be one and done. Not surprised, good luck to a hell of a player.

the one game i went to, missouri, i was behind vols bench, 8 rows up. after palardy missed an easy fg, i noticed cp on the sideline encouraging the much maligned kicker, fist bumping and back patting. watching him throughout the game, it was obvious the guy is a great teammate. i havent seen someone as talented as cp since carl pickens, and he wasnt as jolly as patterson seems to be.

Agreed. So he isn't book smart, big deal. He has another God-given skill set that makes him far more valuable monetarily than 99.9% of all other college students.

Some people cannot help the genetics dealt them in life. He will be a multi millionaire in a year or so. Not many college graduates (myself included ) can say that.

CP deserves no negativity from fans. Without him, you can put another loss or two on us. Kids a playmaker. I can't blame him for coming here to get some snaps and move on to the NFL. Good luck CP!

If he can't run routes in college, what makes you think he'll run routes in the pro's? He is basically a special teams player.

Somebody will find a spot for a 'challenged' athlete like CP at the next level. Jimmy also said of CP, 'he isn't enamored with going to class'. I'm glad the kid had a good year and will have an opportunity to financially take care of his family.

Yes, another idiot millionaire. If he really isn't that bright, he'll be pumping gas in the next 10 years. Sorry, I get frustrated by the fact that there are many hard working individuals that have trouble paying their bills, but work extremely hard and athletes get millions and can't spell their name.

You get paid what you are worth and because people like you and me LOVE football and spend money to watch it people like CP are worth more than those "hard working individuals".

If you don't like it then stop watching football.
