I would say even UTs coaches are saying, “go make your money”. It looks good for him, it looks good for UT, and it looks good for the coaches and recruiting. He will go high 2nd round with his speed, hands, and route running. To put up those kinds of stats vs SEC DBs is impressive and definitely translates to the NFL.

Anyone saying he doesn’t translate to the NFL either doesn’t watch the NFL or knows nothing about football, or both. His YAC, hands, work ethic, and speed are enough to make a lot of teams take him early.

Go make your money, young man. Proud to have called you a Vol!

Verified 4.31 40 along with torching NFL caliber DBs in the Alabama game and putting up decent numbers against Cam Smith from SC will get the scouts attention.

Agree with the high second round rank. If it wasn't a deep WR class, I would think low 1st round.

Johnston TCU, Nijiba OSU, Addison USC, Boutte LSU all probably going ahead of him.

Folks will get frustrated for me saying this...but right now his game won't completely translate to the NFL. He has great upside, but he hasn't proven himself to be an in-traffic receiver, NFL db's won't give him an inch off the line, and most of his td's were dependent on Heup's ability to get him wide open. Bru has a better possibility of an NFL career. Love Hyatt...just saying.

I've wondered, either he's a magician getting wide open or is it the scheme? Fast and good hands tho.

How much NFL do you watch?
Tell me how often Tyrek Hill has to fight through press coverage.

You don't think WRs have to be schemed to get open in the NFL as well??

Nobody in the past 5 drafts has the ball skills and deep ball speed that Hyatt has.
He doesn't need to be some Antonio Brown that is a terror to try and jam on the line.

He's either going to draw a penalty or beat you deep. And if you play deep he'll just cut in or break the route and pickup the 13 yards he's run downfield. There's no downside to getting a player like him. He's not John Ross that was just speed. Hyatt can route every route and knows how to get in open zones.

He's probably going top 15.

Just saw the Sporting News mock 70 picks for the upcoming draft...Does not include Hyatt...However, Wright, Tillman and Hooker are included...Difficult to say where he'll get drafted, but I think he needs to go.
Draft Wire has Hyatt going round one to Jets

While it may seem not aligned with some of my previous musings (really aligned towards my/many of VN desire to be on-top again), I’m thinking our recent turnaround (credit our coaching staff) will attract talent needed to repeat/sustain the excitement that has returned to VOL football. Based on this season/excitement, I’m thinking CJH/staff will have a lot easier ability to “reload” (via recruiting and portal) at least the offensive side of the ball. We’re not too far off on the defensive side…. recruits/ “free agents” just want to play for a winner (and maybe make a few bucks).

Don’t be surprised if he goes high in the first round. Speed like that doesn’t come along every day. More than a couple guys with far less college production have gone high first round just because a team fell in love with their speed.

Hyatt will definitely think about going pro because opposing defenses will be keying on him if he returns in 2023 and he may not see 15 touchdown receptions again.
