by this performance.
We are actually in a contest against a tiny Bible college.
Up only 8 at halftime wit a very good Oregon State staring us in the face on Sunday.
Time was that we beat these type teams by 50 or more points in an opening round at home.
Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
I love Holly but she has ruined a once great program.
Now, we are just another team.

And, before some of you tell me to go root for another team, I say screw that. I’m a lifelong fan.
This is my school and I root for all of my teams.
But, our athletes and great fans deserve better than this.
We just do.

Dude, you EMBARRASSED yourself with this post.

You don't know anything about coaching a college basketball team, so stop Pretending that you do.

You have been Reported.

Nothing, holly is great..

I’m sure you are being sarcastic since she isn’t great. I just don’t see how people complain about this particular game.

Complain after she doesn’t make the elite 8, but at least be patient on your complaints or they lose their meaning. :)

Yes, you are the only one.

While I won't be spotted wearing a "I love Holly" tee shirt, I am not going to complain about a game at halftime. I might get mad after a loss and playing badly, but that wasn't anywhere close to happening today. They played and beat a 14 seat on their home floor. They did what they were suppose to do.

If they don't make the elite 8, or fail to blow out a clearly inferior team, I will be mad right with you. But I am not jumping around about anything today. The Lady Vowels played well today. For now, I will leave it be.

The Lady Consonants will be a tough out for UConn.

No, not surprised. Doesn’t bother me. All opinions are just that and equally as valid.
Stand by what I said.
We played a horrible first half against a very inferior team.
We played a great second half against them.

I'd say nerves combined with rust from not playing in a bit and underestimating a #14 seed all combined to what we saw in the first half.

Once they settled down, you saw business as usual.

Despite all the back and forth here, I was pleased with the effort and result from our two back up posts. Greene's footwork was a nice surprise and she fought for rebounds. Actually, after a lackluster start this was a encouraging first round game for the team.

I'm reporting you to your 8th grade civics teacher for not knowing where the 1st Amendment applies.

This seems ironic.

Ironic and stupid. The first amendment protects free speech from infringement by the federal govt. I don't think the founding fathers were too worried about trash talking on a message board, though I hear Thomas Jefferson could throw down some wicked taunts.

Bingo. I was glad to see Westbrook finish strong because she was part of the problem in the first half. Hayes was very good in taking over the PG but going forward, the LVs will need both to play well.

i'm embarrassed to be me. Things change over time. We're no longer the dominant powerhouse in a sport that usually has one. Parity and good play continue to come to other teams, i refuse to see this. It is something i am incapable of seeing, as things should never change from times when i perceive them to be well for me. Incidentally, this is why i also vote like a moron. I guess i'm just a brick-headed, blind brat. Thanks for listening to me whine, even though that's all i do 24/7.

I thought D4H mentioned that Benji Franklin never passed the eye test. Tommy Jefferson was a seven time All Colony Trash Talker. They may both be immortalized via currency, but only one truly deserved it when you review the film.

Apparently this horse is still breathing.

So if we had a drastically different coach we'd have hit all those FT's?

In a word, YES. Coaching DOES affect how a team shoots free throws. The coach is in charge of creating a culture that understands free throw shooting is important. The coach is in charge in teaching key techniques important for free throw shooting: MAINLY consistency in the routine, not too much movement or not enough. The coach is in charge of PRACTICING free throws in practice and emphasizing concentration letting them know that free throw shooting often CAN often be the difference in who wins or lose depending on the team and opponent.

We lost to Ball State under Pat just 9 years ago.
Yeah, the year AFTER they won the National Championship and lost 6 Seniors. When Holly wins a National Championship, she can earn ONE lackluster year off instead of EVERY year being a lackluster year with not a single final 4 as it stands now.

LV players know FTs are important. Some practice in the gym on their own time or spend extra time working with coaches before and after practice. Davis has really improved her game this year doing that.
