I am behind Pearl

Not so much. He has laid a foundation that we can bring in another great coach.

Wrong! No great coach would want to work as tirelessly to keep Tennessee on top. If you think the basketball program is going to get a great coach then you're crazy. Now the hope you can have is a coach with potential that will come in but to expect an already great coach is crazy

A great coach doesn't have to be at a big time school, kemosabe.

I just want a name because I can't find that person. There was never a more perfect for Tennessee than Pearl. What coach wants to be 3rd fiddle? What coach wants to put that much time into a program that is 3rd behind football and lady vols? He was a pipe dream because 1. He was still blacklisted from coaches 2. He was too in your face. He was a risk that really nobody was ready to take yet TN did. I can't find a coach that has the charisma and motivation of Pearl out there.

The point is you had no idea who Bruce Pearl was before UT. To say another coach like him can't do it is silly.

A coach wouldn't have to work any harder to stay on top than at any other school. Tennessee also has great in-state talent and tremendous resources.

I think the press conference was a sincere apology and I think he really feels like he has let down the University of Tennessee, but to all fairness, he lied, he has fessed up to it, and he did not run away like Kiffen did. He is standing his ground, taking the punishment and I am sure he will do his job. As fans we should be grateful for some one who has enough integrity to at least own up to his mistakes and promise the whole fan base, players, the University, and his family that he will not do it again. I don't know all the details, and I'm sure I don't really want too, because my idea of whats right and wrong does not matter to the NCAA, most people on here, or to Bruce Pearl. Bottom line, he broke the rules, and he is going to pay the price. A mistake does not make someone a bad man, it makes them human.

I am still behind Bruce and the guys in orange!:rock:

I called a 20 win season on scout board his first year and was called an idiot

And you called 3 Sweet 16s, and Elite 8, and an outright SEC Championship in 5 seasons didn't you?

Sure you did...

With the improved facilities, the recruiting base now, and Tennessee now has a national name, UT is easily one of the top 20 jobs in the country and a ton of coaches would love to coach here.

To even compare this to 9/11/01 and the horror Al-Queda has caused the USA and the rest of the world is outlandish. If you don't like pearl fine, but to somehow go off talking about KSM just showed how stupid you are.
