I am Tired of Reading and Hearing About Obama's Inexperience, I am Also Tire of It In

Most people would find it much more pallatable for the "newcomer" to be at the bottom of the ticket instead of the the top!

I would have no problem with that but the Democratic Party has decided he is their man and I believe it is time to make a change in America.

As an "old white guy" I think it is time for a minority candidate to run the country. We have been in charge for a very long time and I believe he can do no worse than the previous two presidents!

To others... "Why are so many afraid of the minority candidate????"

def not scared of a minority candidate what so ever. i'd vote for one if they lined up w/ what i believe. Obama doesn't line up for w/ what i believe. so ur voting for obama for the simple reason that you want a minority candidate to run the country.....this disturbs me does it disturb any one else

why must it be a minority candidate? I didn't realize Affirmative action included elections. Kinda defeats the whole point doesn't it?

And if you truly believe it can't get worse you're kidding your old white self

I guess it depends what you consider minority. Do you consider Barack black, white or other?

Based on his video at the DNC, you would think he was white, no? He seemed to talk about his white mother and grandparents a lot.

Let's go with the MLKJr. dream - race should be irrelevant. It is not a qualifier or disqualifier. BO shouldn't be elected because he is black or not elected because he's black. It should be based on who will do the most good for the country however you define good.

I really haven't seen indications of "fear of a minority" here. Most commentary goes back to thoughts about what his policies would mean for the country.

To suggest anyone who doesn't support BO somehow fears a minority candidate is insulting.

Right so she has more experience then Obama because he was only a U.S. Senator and she was a Governor.

But what experience does McCain have that makes him such a great pick? Oh yeah U.S. Senator

Using this logic, McCain is only about 6x more qualified than BO since he's been a Senator for so much longer.

If running a presidential campaign qualifies as executive experience (as BO has suggested), McCain trumps him here because he has run several of them.

By any measure, McCain thumps BO on experience. The gap between McCain and BO is huge compared to the gap between BO and Palin.

Hmm The washington Post has an interesting article here about Biden's son and brother...

Nice, Palins 17 year old kid gets pregers and that is a huge deal, but Bidens son and brother run a ponzi scheme hedge fund stealing millions and its not a problem at all

Why even go this route???????????????

Who is afraid of a minority candidate?

His policy is his concern.........

You are better than this...... hopefully....

Maybe that's why Biden came out and said that families of candidates are off limits.

I believe it comes down to your political philosophy more than anything. If you liked George W. Bush you will love John McCain. Even though he used to be a moderate, he has switched many of his positions to run for president and I believe he will do more of the same things Bush did.... Gov. Palin is much more right-wing than John. She is a hard core gal and if you like your bread buttered that way you will vote for that ticket.

I am much more of a first amendment type of person! I believe in civil liberties, justice, and those Jefferson/Franklin theories of governance. I can't imagine any of our founding fathers favoring what we have seen happen to our checks and balances system over the course of these past few years, however, I know there are many people who would give up all of our civil liberties because of the fear of terrorists. No other president other than Lincoln, during the Civil War, has set aside sections of the constitution by playing on the fears of the citizens for safety. Even FDR at the height of WWII did not do as much harm to the constitution as Bush has done over the past seven years. IMHO it will become his legacy to the world.

I will vote for Obama because he rightly opposed the War in Iraq from the start! I will vote for Obama because he is in favor of establishing a better health insurance system for all Americans. Not nationalized-social medicine, but a fair national and optional system for all Americans to purchase. I will vote for Obama because he supports the teaching of science in school and will not deny the teaching of evolution (as Gov. Palin wants to do) or do away with sex-education classes (i.e. the Bush Administration). I favor Obama because he is a very intelligent American who has the ability to listen to all sides and make an educated and informed decision, unlike another Ivy League, skull and bones man, "W!" I will vote for Obama because it is time for change... the "Angry White Guy" (Reference to the book) has ran Washington long enough, it's time for someone else to have a say for a while!

In short, if you are republican you support the wrong direction for America?

Honestly, where do you come up with this crap?

Would you have voted for Kerry last election?

Yea, it's not like we put Muslims in camps like they did to Japanese-Americans in WWII.

Yea, it's not like we put Muslims in camps like they did to Japanese-Americans in WWII.

Exactly, you pick and choose what you want to believe.

Neither party is the answer.... the answer is in the compromise to do what is best for the people.

I am sick of the good ol' boy network of either party.

When you get down to it, there is little difference between either party.

In the end either want expansion of government which limits the freedoms of the citizen.

If only a politician would adhere to a quote from a movie "The needs of the many far outweigh the needs of the few, or the one" Stop pandering to a few groups or individuals that whine about their feelings getting hurt or some silly junk. Stop talking about what you think we need and make a decision to actually DO it.
