I ask honestly... how old are you?

I’m 67 by God years old. I’ve seen more, been through more, than many, if not most, of the recent “fair-weather“ Vol fans could imagine. I’ve also had more whiskey tonight than most could handle…so excuse me if there are grammatical or spelling errors in this post. I apologize.

I’m 25, I’ve been watching and going to games since we first got cable tv and I got a job lol. I’ve never seen a loss this bad, I’ll get off the ledge in the morning

I was a student at UT during the Butch years. All losses to Vandy are more embarrassing than this, Georgia St is more embarrassing, Wyoming is more embarrassing….I’ll stop. This was an awful loss, but we’ll move on.

I'm old enough to see the similarity between tonight's game and the 2012 Dooley Kentucky fiasco. Two teams whose hearts weren't in the game.

I’m 40, but not old enough to have really enjoyed the 98 championship. I don’t even remember it happening honestly. This is the worst loss of my lifetime (for me) given we legit had a CFP appearance right in front of us.

Trying to gloss this loss over in any way, shape or form is futile. It truly was that bad.
Yup.
We won some we should not have that made us appear better than we actually are. And that makes this one hurt more.
There’s no excuse for what happened to the defense tonight.
It’s hard to believe that Banks not being there to run the D made that big a difference. But something was seriously wrong with an already bad Defense

I have been a fan all my life. Watched Tony Robinson, Dale Carter, Sanders, McGee, so many great players. I saw the beating we gave Miami in the SB. So yeah, I have been around as a fan a long time.
Tonight demonstrates why I have been a critic of this defensive coaching staff. When CJM lost fans would send Uhaul trucks to his house. This entire defensive staff needs to be shipped out of country, and never see a football again as long as they live.

I lived in an apartment on Highland after Tony Robinson's injury. Had a huge print of the Sports Illustrated cover on my wall... one night I heard a commotion outside, went to peak and... it was Tony. He was drunk off his azz and he was leaving some girl's apartment. I couldn't help myself, went out and said, "Tony, you okay?" He said, "Nope... but I'm still Tony Robinson!" LMAO!

I'm just curious how much historical perspective some of you people have because what I'm seeing posted here tonight is lunacy. Grow up.
I'm 44 never seen a defense this bad. That dates my first games in mid 80s when we were not great. .this was completely embarrassing

This game shocked me as much as 1969 massacre at Oxford when Archie just destroyed our secondary. Both games destroyed our chances for championships. Both blowout losses were completely unexpected and inexplicable.

I’m old enough to say I’ve seen some bad losses… exceptionally bad losses…. But none as embarrassingly bad as this one.
Ole Miss with Archie Manning at QB beat us 35-0 in the Mule Game when we were ranked #2 more than 50 years ago. That is still the worst loss I can remember. We were an established program then with All Americans everywhere. Today, we are a program on the build with some glaring weaknesses that got exposed big time tonight.

Let's keep our eyes on the prize - we're building a program. It will take a couple more years of recruiting. We have the coach to do it for the first time in fifteen years. Rally round our troops and support them. There's a lot of football to be played still this season. We can finish 10-2 and then win a nice bowl for the first time in recent memory.

38. Became a student at UT in 2003, and that’s when I first became a fan and started following football. Tonight sucked but we have seen a lot worse.

I'm 57. I remember when I and 8 friends shared a room in New Orleans and watched Darryl Dickey whip the Canes 35 - 7 in the Sugar Bowl so I've got some perspective. BTW, it was a natural hole, Keith.

This is a good time to be a Vol. Perspective will teach you that.

no doubt it’s a great time to be a Tennessee fan.

However as soon as #5 Tennessee gets 63 hung on them by unranked SC……losing any chance for the playoff…….might not be the best time to go after fans, many of which are just expressing disappointment.

The loss sucks…….but I’m good because Tennessee is still good, and really better than most had thought…….not to mention in the end it’s a game and my real life is amazing.

But dang man don’t be too high and mighty.

61, I have seen bad losses such as North TX State 1975, Rutgers in 1980. The loss to LSU in the SECCG game in 2001 was bad in my opinion because of the possibility of playing for a NC that year. I felt better when they beat Mi in a bowl game. Tonight's loss to SC is embarrassing because of what the program has achieved this season, but I've seen enough football to know that you have to show up for every game.

I’m 54 and remember Spurrier hanging 62 on us in swamp in 1995 and we were leading at halftime!! This one is bad though because Florida was really good then and SC isnt really good now.

Ready to turn 57 and fully realize how often we get this close . . . which isn’t often. I don’t mind losing, but have a problem getting embarrassed and being laughed at. I also realize I’m not a player and don’t really have a “say” in the outcome of every game. However, with the advent of NIL, I expect more. If I lay an egg at work, there are consequences. If you want the money, earn it on the field.

I am old enough to have seen a National Championship and understand it. The defense tonight was/is AS BAD AS Dooley’s years.

It was worse and I've been following sense the 80's. The Sunseri jokes are gone after tonight.

Florida was a national championship caliber team and South Carolina outscored them. Plus Florida's offense was considered good.

I'll be 64 my next birthday. Have watched and cheered the Vols since I was 8 years old. Have never seen a worst whipping by an opposing team when we were clearly the favorites and ranked high. Vandy's on a roll right now, we better be ready.
Playoffs - forget it, Heisman hopes - not this year. The team exceeded all of our expectations this year but its a hard pill to swallow when we were so close to making it a Cinderella season. Lets see what went terribly wrong tonight, fix it, and finish out the season on a positive note.
