... to see how some of you Obama-hating fear mongering race baiters deal with the rescue of the captain and the killing of several of the pirates. I can hardly wait to hear how Boortz and the others who were trying to make this a Muslim thing and infer that Obama was standing aside deals with today's events.

You forgot to mention how glad you are that the man is safe.

Ok, number one reaction is deflection. Let's see what's next.

You are so sure of others reaction you ignore a genuine reaction from a poster?

Fear mongering race baiters?
What the Heck are you writing about? People on this board or this Boortz guy, whoever he is?

What does this have to do with the SeAL's saving the ship captain?

need a hanky to wipe the spittle off your chin?

I'm constantly amazed at how easily offended you are and your often churlish reaction to the offense du'jour.

Fear mongering race baiters????

You're always good for a laugh if nothing else.

I can't think of anything else you are good for offhand, now that I think about.

Let me remind you...

Obama isn't going to raise a hand against the good muslim pirates from Somalia.

I'm sure obama and his bed partners the UN will come up with a peaceful solution. Maybe send them some cookies or offer to build them a mosque or two or three.

And it's obvious this whole thing was going to turn out bad, simply because the Obama is in the White House...

he's already failed at two domestic crises (the ice storm in Kentucky and the flooding in North Dakota), why would he fair any better with an international crisis?

looks like American took back the ship. even without the help of the government. glad they didn't wait for hussein to act. they might have all gotten killed

Thanks rjd, appreciate you finding for me exactly what I was talking about.

What is really distressing is that people hate Obama so much that they actually will not take a moment to relish in this success and be grateful that it ended with saving this gentleman, instead trying to find reasons to minimize it. Just watch. It will all be about luck or something else. Guarantee some moron figures out a way to give credit to Bush.

What on earth does this have to do with Obama? You act like he was on the freaking SEAL team.

If....if...he was told of the plan I'm sure it was as a "courtesy". Something along the lines of, "Mr President we have this under control". It's not like this was a major operation. US interests were at stake and action was taken. So what?

Incorrect. Obama twice authorized the use of military force for this: Obama twice approved force to rescue hostage

That's right, kids. Obama, the Secret Agent Muslim, twice told the U.S. military to use force to take back the hostage from the Islamic pirates.

Again, so what? Any reasonably intelligent President would have done the same. I don't understand what you're gloating about.

I don't see where you "relished this success" at all. You simply used it as a way to feign offense and jump on some posters here.

Isn't that the same sin you are preaching about? Don't you find your own starting a thread about this as distressing?

Dude, seriously. Read this board some time with a little objectivity. Listen to talk radio some time with a little objectivity. There were numerous people on here -- and in the right wing AM radio waves -- actively claiming that Obama was to blame for lack of an effort to rescue this guy. Some even touted the absurd notion that he was blocking it or ordering a really soft line approach so as to either be a namby pamby liberal, or worse so as not to offend Muslims who might support the pirates.

I am not gloating in anything other than that the hysterical jackals on the far right who want people to think that Obama was one of the 9/11 hijackers have been shown yet again to be the idiots they are.

I forgot that only anti-Obama threads are allowed. My bad.

Not the point. You are condemning people for looking at the political angle on this rescue and ignoring the real story (the captain is freed) but you are doing the exact same thing. The difference is you started a thread to do it.

You accuse them of looking for any excuse to trash Obama yet you use any excuse to trash them. Isn't that the same thing? I find this behavior quite amusing.

The last thing you'll ever catch me doing is listening to talk radio. Sports or politics, it's all the same bunch of blowhards standing on their tip-toes, shouting, hoping that someone will actually care about what they have to say.

Please.

Wrong. I am not condemning people for politicizing it. I am condemning them for being so obsessed with hating Obama and their totally absurd notion that he is a secret Muslim looking for ways to embarrass the US, that they try to discredit him and assert that he was being soft in his approach to this.

I am absolutely elated that this man was rescued and that the pirates did not get away with this. I am also extremely gratified that those who would portray Obama as 1) not up to the task of being Commander in Chief; 2) secretly plotting to help Muslims at every turn; or 3) just generally not interested in military solutions to certain problems, have all been proiven to be big fat liars today.

Thank God for the military and the sharpshooters. Unless Obama was on that ship deck with a rifle in his hand, I am not sure how much praise should be heaped upon him. The heroes are the brave young men and woman in uniform. I am old enough to remember, as I am sure you are, when your left leaning pals were spitting on them and calling them Baby Killers…..but I digress.

Like that would ever happen.
My only thoughts on the matter are what took so long and why are we giving these pirates a second of air time or a grain of respect. Send a heavily armed "merchant" ship over there as bait and wipe em all out.

Interesting. When the military was not taking action fast enough, Obama was directly to blame. Then they do have this success, and Obama gets none of the credit.
