Well if I'm included in the bitter group then LG is 100% wrong because I'm thrilled the captain is safe and I would not delight in his death in any way.

The true irony here is the outrageous accusation of LG that you are endorsing are as unfounded as suggesting Obama was on the side of the pirates because he's a muslim (an accusation I never made).

I think it's funny how you bait people into getting a reaction with some of the stuff you say, and harp on them about being offended so easily, then get defensive when I reply. I specifically separated out what you said from the hate mongering stuff. In your case, I was illustrating how pathetically wrong you were about expecting him to fail because he has already failed in two domestic crisis.

at least you're admitting he failed the people of Kentucky and North Dakota.

He did the right thing with the pirates holding Capt. Phillips and he was probably more in tune with the situation that I gave him credit for being.

that wasn't the second reaction. The second, third and fourth were to your commentary and the absurdity of same. Further reactions actually discussed how this went down and the fact that the President allowed the use of force, if necessary to save the hostage.

Nobody said the result was despite the president. Most have essentially said that it was after he had granted certain use of force and then sat in the White House awaiting news. He was clearly complicit in the outcome, but had nothing to do with the local commander making a real time decision to drop the hammer. OBTW, that commander likely has the exact same orders today, in any scenario, that Obama went out of his way to publicly grant in this case.

What LG fails to notice is most posters in here aren't die hard Repubs, But he does bring up a valid point. If this mission became a disaster (ie Captain died, pirates got back to Somalia with the Captain, scenario, scenario) how many would be screaming at President Obama right now for failing?

Seems to me that both sides should be happy this all came to an end instead of creating a pissing match about what the other side is going to say. I am a Conservative and Obama did the right thing and he should be commended, just as with anything positive he does. You tell someone good job if they do a good job. Good job Mr. President.

A good job would be stopping Somali piracy in it's tracks, something we are completely capable of doing.

Instead Obama has been helping the Somali effort in Kenya, a well documented if unreported initiative of Obama and company.

When will the American people ever wise up to this charlatan???????????
