I think the mannerisms you refer to are different than what I am referring to.

I don't know what kind of hairs you're trying to split, but on the field Tebow was a preening, smirking douchebag who was constantly drawing attention to himself if not outright taunting the other team. Hopson is positively subdued in comparison.

I saw a SportsCenter highlight just this week of Noah dunking, and the post dunk celebration/dramatic performance he put on was the epitome of arrogance.

He's never grown up.

Unfortunate that you feel that way. Of all things Scotty has been called, mean and overconfident or the least applicable. Scotty has been called way too nice his whole career, and his lack of confidence at times has been the source of much frustration for many fans. Scotty's biggest flaws in the past have been his inability to stay confident when things go bad and to take over a leadership role. Speaking in a critical way of Scotty, one announcer said that "Scotty loves his mother, and like to joke around with his teammates" (or something similar to that). He was pointing out that Scotty doesn't posses that natural killer instinct (or didn't until lately). Everyone who knows Scotty has always pointed out what a nice, polite, good kid he is and how badly he has felt when he lets his teammates down. Tyler Smith was mean (but I loved him). I have heard that teammates were scared of him in practice. Scotty's smirks last night may have been due to the hack o thon that was allowed to go on against him. He was obviously fouled without a call 3 times that I can remember.

Honestly, when you are in the NBA making millions, I think you can probably justify getting away with a bit more.

I will admit that he has made longer in the league than I thought he would.

Actually, I didn't see your game last night. Was he getting irritated?

At the pro level it's the exact opposite of what you claim here.

It's funny how a decade ago we used another word for the modern term "swagger". We called it "douchebag".

Ahhhh the good ole days.
