Never cheered for UK harder in my life than when what's his name knocked the ever loving **** out of Tebow.

Oh gosh, not this again. Let's handle it this way....

Rational people: There is no reason to root for anyone to get hurt in an athletic endeavor, even if its a rival. They do this in large part to entertain us and its just flat wrong to confuse the understandable desire to see a rival fail with a ridiculous desire to see him hurt.

Douchebags: It is cool when people I have never met, and who I don't know, and who have done nothing to me personally, are seriously injured playing sports.

My coach always told me to intend on hurting my opponent. Nothing wrong with hurting them, just dont try and injure them and ruin a career. Love me some hurt!

unfortunate that you feel that way. Of all things scotty has been called, mean and overconfident or the least applicable. Scotty has been called way too nice his whole career, and his lack of confidence at times has been the source of much frustration for many fans. Scotty's biggest flaws in the past have been his inability to stay confident when things go bad and to take over a leadership role. Speaking in a critical way of scotty, one announcer said that "scotty loves his mother, and like to joke around with his teammates" (or something similar to that). He was pointing out that scotty doesn't posses that natural killer instinct (or didn't until lately). Everyone who knows scotty has always pointed out what a nice, polite, good kid he is and how badly he has felt when he lets his teammates down. Tyler smith was mean (but i loved him). I have heard that teammates were scared of him in practice. Scotty's smirks last night may have been due to the hack o thon that was allowed to go on against him. He was obviously fouled without a call 3 times that i can remember.

spot on

I didn't realize we weren't allowed to cheer for big legal hits in football. Not cheering the injury, cheering the hit.

I confess that Florida sucks. Glad I got that off my chest.

Ha!

Clearly, you missed the spirit of the original post.

I find Hopson's demeanor irritating. I confess that might in part be because I'm a rival.

.... and this may simply be because I am a rival fan, but I don't think so .....

I do not like Scotty Hopson. I find his on court demeanor very antagonizing, glib look on his face, very arrogant. I realize he's your best player and worthy of nomination for SEC poy given his production. But I also confess that I like seeing that smirk wiped off his face.

I understand what you're seeing and imagine it would irritate me if he wasn't ours. It does seem to me, however, that it's just his method for staying focused. His freshman year, he reacted emotionally to everything, and it often got in the way of his game. Now he seems to be trying to keep his emotions in check and the result is that he comes across as aloof. Your response makes me feel better about it, though. :p

Yet every time rival fans complained about Tebow's demeanor, you said it was just sour grapes.

Umm... surprised no mention of Chandler Parsons in this thread. I hate his on-court persona... The CJ Watson tooth extraction on Noah is one of my best memories... Tauren Greene was a DB too but nothing compared to Mike Miller or David Lee

My favorite Matt Walsh moment was when this guy I used to know printed up a bunch of pics of Walsh's GF's playboy shoot and those were scattered all over the TBA! Bahahahaha!!!! Walsh looked like he was going to break down in tears

I concur....not a huge fan of his on court behavior.

I agree. Except the time CJ Watson elbowed the living **** out of Noah. If we're honest, he had it coming.
