He's not telling the truth folks. Go ahead and crucify me. Stress? Who doesn't have stress? I don't want to hear it! Smoke some weed or drink some wine. The Thamel article is ridiculous, he's done it smack in the middle of the dead period, and anyone with any sense knows his stock is as close to its peak as it will be. He's burnt out on UF. Actually I think strictly from a money/business standpoint, he made a smart move. When (not if) he gets another job, he comes in with 2 titles, and a 57-10 record. Instead of hanging around in the tough years, and leaving with a 67-24 record. Still good yes, but drops his pay a little, no doubt. (Although his "stress" wouldve soared through the roof when we beat them 3 years in a row.) All in All it was a well calculated move by CUM with the convienent fail-proof Health card thrown. Shouldn't have expected anything less from him.

The guy has a benign tumor on his brain that causes difficulty when mixed with high levels of stress. He was treated for it while at ND. You need to shut up and relax. I'm glad he's gone because it may help us...but the guy is a great coach and did a great job at UF.

Until we get the whole story, I think we should just leave it be. If the NCAA investigates Florida for major violations in his tenure, fire away. Until then, the health card is legitimate.

Crap like this should be deleted anyway. You lower the intelligence level of the entire Big Orange Nation.

He is a great coach your right. Doesn't mean he's not smart enough to make a smart move. Its business buddy. My insensitivity doesn't mean poop if I don't believe him. We disagree. You obviously believe him. No worries. I don't hate him or wish him bad, just thinks its a front.

If he were looking for another job he would be at Notre Dame in a week. He may come back at some point, I am not doubting that, but for now the health thing is legitimate. His emergency trip to the hospital was not about dehydration alone. There are some concerns that need to be addressed. And yes, I have a friend who works at the hospital he was admitted to. It wasn't life threatening, but it was something to be dealt with.

"Look at me, I'm Urban Meyer. I can't handle stress because I have a cavernous vagina."

Deal punk, that's what you get paid for.

Why leave the best job in college football when you're making $4 mil and are at the top of the college football world? Makes no sense...anyone who says he's faking has no clue...

How are people like this smart enough to use the internet? Good grief. To think I had to waste post #200 on this crap.

Oh, I'm glad he's gone and I hope he never comes back to coaching...I hate his guts. But to others who say he's actually faking is pretty shocking to me.

Bc his stock was now falling. Read the OP then think about what his reasonable expectations were gonna be next year?and the year after? I'm not ignorant enough to think they would have been 6-6, but they weren't going to win 13, in all likelyhood. 8-5, 9-4 , two years like that take his 4 mil to 2 mil. Logic

Couple all the above Facts with UM and FSU on the upswing, along with TN. Mr Myer knows more about all of this than ANY of us. His hotbed of locked talent has been unlocked, and TT is gone, and he's "stressed" don't be Naïve VN.

He prolly just has a case of the pig flu. Pray for the liar. I guess Joe Pa & BB handle "stress" better.

a.) you can't decrease someone's salary...he has a contract.

b.) Given that he has had top 5 recruiting classes for the last five years and thus, would likely keep pulling in top 5 classes, the talent level wouldn't be drastically different in the future. Sure, no Tebow. But with all the talent he has in Florida, he's capable of winning. It would be ignorant of you to say that he would never have another 10 win season and an SEC crown.

Next year wouldn't have been great, but the future was still there.

I really don't care whether he is leaving for health or something else. I wish him well, but I am glad as hell he is leaving.

I'm pretty sure he didn't choose to have heart problems. This is dumb.
