:clapping::birgits_giggle: Yes and if tennessee were an airplane (Thamel would be strapping himself with explosives):birgits_giggle: He hates Tennessee and the Kiffins. What will he talk about with Meyer gone. lol:Go VolsHe's not telling the truth folks. Go ahead and crucify me. Stress? Who doesn't have stress? I don't want to hear it! Smoke some weed or drink some wine. The Thamel article is ridiculous, he's done it smack in the middle of the dead period, and anyone with any sense knows his stock is as close to its peak as it will be. He's burnt out on UF. Actually I think strictly from a money/business standpoint, he made a smart move. When (not if) he gets another job, he comes in with 2 titles, and a 57-10 record. Instead of hanging around in the tough years, and leaving with a 67-24 record. Still good yes, but drops his pay a little, no doubt. (Although his "stress" wouldve soared through the roof when we beat them 3 years in a row.) All in All it was a well calculated move by CUM with the convienent fail-proof Health card thrown. Shouldn't have expected anything less from him.

 the Lane Train is a frightening thing unless you are rideing it.opcorn: And with the medical knowledge today; Meyers just got scared off.IMO :snoring::huh::zeitung_lesen:He sees the Lane Train coming. Seriously, he probably does have health problems and I wish him the best. He no longer is the adversary and will be a big problem for any new coach coming to UF if he remains at the University as he desires.
I believe he sees the handwriting on the wall from narrow home wins over UT, Ark, etal and his loss to Bama. That along with Tebow leaving and stress of losing probably greased the skids for his decision. The rest of the SEC as well as FSU are gaining ground and if he has heart problems, I can understand why he is leaving. I say good luck to him and don't let the door...........
Stress IMO here is the stress that took the Urban Myth down:
Dan Mullen - Notice the lack of big plays from the offense and creativity from the FL offense without Mullen calling the plays. The Gator offense had more to do with Mullen than Meyer. Mullen had no problem running that O at Miss. St.
Charlie Strong - The glue that held the Gator D together, Gone to Louisville.
Tim Tebow - Losing his bull in the china shop QB meant his offense would need to become more pro-style.
Wide Receivers - Aside from Cooper who is gone after this year, no one looked special
Running Backs - Brantley at QB meant no longer would opposing defenses have to account for the QB running. Their small scat backs cannot pick up blocks of 300lb linemen crashing down.
Juniors - The gators will have several key players opt for the draft before the salary cap goes into place in 2011.
These are the stressers that Meyer finally realized.
The guy has a benign tumor on his brain that causes difficulty when mixed with high levels of stress. He was treated for it while at ND. You need to shut up and relax. I'm glad he's gone because it may help us...but the guy is a great coach and did a great job at UF.
Urban Meyer stepped down from one of the premiere coaching gigs in the country after having authored two national championship campaigns in three seasons, owning a 56-10 record at UF and a bringing in a 2010 recruiting class that is in the concensus-top 2 in the conference - above ours on most lists (yeah, the future looked pretty grim for him at UF!)...and so, despite all this, retired out of fear of Lane Kiffin.
Not.
