People don't care dude. Do you not get that?
Why don't you ask Jeronne Maymon who rehabbed his knee for thousands of hours for a chance to make a run and make a long lasting impact at Tennessee?
I'm sure he doesn't care at all about the tournament so he could have Bruce Pearl.
I could probably do that for you. How's this question work
Poll: Do you care more about an ex-coach than you do about showing respect to the guys who have busted their humps for UT the past few years?
or perhaps
Poll: Are you so miserable that you actively cheer for your team to lose?
please note that all responses will be public

If I'm reading op correctly, he doesn't say anything about 'tanking.'
He asks if we would trade our late season run and play-in game for Bruce Pearl.
If you care anything about the long-term success of this program (and aren't here just to crow about how 'Pearl was never in play here, blah, blah, blah'), then you have to admit that today was a loss for Tennessee.
Keep spinning it however you want, but the reality is our b-ball future just got a lot darker.

Great essay.I'm glad Jeronne Maymon and Jordan McRae didn't think that when Bruce was fired instead of CHOOSING THE SCHOOL over some coach who broke the rules, lied, was caught, and rightly fired. I'm glad they didn't just say "Man, it's not looking good for the program, I'm bailing to go somewhere easier" or "Man, UT basketball is nothing without Pearl, I'm out of here." I'm glad they were men and stayed through the thick and thin and will be rewarded for their hard work.
