I don't know how to make a poll here..

Yeah, I can't believe we have to wait another day to play in the tourney. This sucks.

Correction: To play the play-in game for the tourney, in CCM's 3rd year with his most talented and veteran team.

Keep on expecting mediocrity and that's what you'll get.

So I'll start a thread, out of curiosity, how many of you would have traded our late season streak and play in game for Bruce Pearl? Don't merge this, and I know I'll get destroyed for this, but let's see. Honest answers.

This is really laughable.

bleedingconzo... here's my response to your, "who's better next year... TN or Auburn" thread...

Both will likely be really bad next year due to the talent disparity vs. the other teams in the SEC...

However, we'll get the black curtains back and get to listen to Conzo mumble through the season while the Conzoites scream for more years to prolong their crow and mac dinners. On the Flip side, Pearl will be filling Auburn's new arena and revitalizing their program and stealing the top recruits from Georgia that has made Tennessee successful in past years.

Make no mistake... despite UT making the play-in game in the NCAA's, Tennessee's basketball program is very much on the decline while with the hiring of Pearl, Auburn's program is on the way up. Truth hurts.

So...11-7 in the SEC and making the tourney is mediocre?

Yep. They are more concerned with being right and living a vicarious fantasy through Bruce Pearl than cheering for their "own team".

We can cheer for our team, and want better for our team at the same time.

You still pulling for Dooley?

In this context, I find your username ammusing.

I've never pulled for a coach. I pull for our football team. And our basketball team. It would be one thing if Martin were a colossal failure like Dooley, but it's not even close, and his teams over improved every year, if only faintly. Dooley's got worse each season.

Some of you cheer for the team because the university rolls a product out there and expects you to, regardless. They love you guys, btw, so keep it up.

The rest of us cheer for the team, but also have the ability to make up our own minds about whether we think it's headed in the right direction or not.

Why don't you ask Jeronne Maymon who rehabbed his knee for thousands of hours for a chance to make a run and make a long lasting impact at Tennessee?

I'm sure he doesn't care at all about the tournament so he could have Bruce Pearl.

This.

I hope our fan base is not this self centered.

That's arguable.

Dooley made the post season one year... same a Conzo...?

We may be after the play-in game.

If we were in the tourney, we'd have a seed and not be having to play for one.

My tickets say "2014 NCAA Basketball Tournament - First Four In - Session 2".

The receipt says "Welcome to the 2014 NCAA Basketball Tournament!" (size 30 font...realy big)

This day will be looked back on the same way the day Kentucky gave Bear Bryant a cigarette lighter for winning the SEC in football and Rupp a Cadillac for winning the SEC in basketball. One of the stupidest mistakes in the history of sports.
The board should immediately fire both Cheek, Hart, and while they are at it fire bozo.
