I Don't See A Reason Why We Don't Win Out

Use either Texas A&M game as a reference point for why we might not win out.

I fully expect us to beat the hell out of Vandy at home, and then go to Auburn and get beat. Just because it makes no logical sense, which has seemed to be the theme of the season.

We'll then beat Missouri at home in a thriller, and lay an egg in the SEC tourney.

It just seems like the most logically illogical scenario at this point.

Actually this sounds about right - it depends upon who we draw in the first round of the SEC tourney. We could just as easily lay an egg or run off two or three nice wins. With this team you really don't know which team will show up.

That's sounds about right. Then it's one and done in the NIT..

Exactly. Couldn't have said it better.

Vandy at home, Aubarn at their place and Mizz to end the regular season would give us 20 wins. No reason not to finish strong with that remaining schedule. If CCM lays an egg, and that certainly within the realm of possibility, maybe not. i think we at least make the tourney. I think that the Mizzou game ends up being a VERY important match-up to end the season.

There isn't a reason we shouldn't win out, but we also shouldn't have lost to Texas A&m twice, we shouldn't have lost to UTEP or nc state. This team for whatever reason just takes games off. I can easily see them losing to Auburn

Going to keep the pattern going.
Win loss win loss win loss.

We should win all 3, but we shoulda beat Texas A&M twice, Vandy, UTEP & NC State too. I'll be there cheering but will be cautiously optimistic at best.
GO VOLS!

My god, we have a Cuonzo supporter?

I support the university of Tennessee. Yeah CCM has pissed me off numerous times but he is still the coach and there are still games to be played. I will never pull for UT to loose. I wanted dooky gone, but I still went to every home game.

Exactly. I couldn't imagine pulling for another team.

We should win out. But on the road against Auburn isn't going to be a cake walk by any means. And Mizzou should be tough.

Unfortunately, your prediction seems quite accurate. This team has been amazingly inconsistent this year. Win one game by double digits and then inexplicably lose to someone terrible like A&M.

Sometimes through loss comes great gain. So many people get offended by someone saying I hope we lose, but losing is the best thing for this program in the long run. Martin is clueless, and if he's retained UT will lose a lot of money next year.

With this team I've learned not to assume any win, that will continue the rest of the season. This team is capable of winning out, but will they? Who the heck knows.

I will say one thing that gives me hope, last year we saw the, I think we've done enough talk etc. This year I'm seeing, we have to win these last 4 quotes from the players.

So it took the players 3 years to learn they have to win games to get in the tournament? Sounds like they have a bad tutor and mentor.

I don't want us to win out!!! This Martin experiment is not working out. It is better for the program that we lose enough games this season that will allow us to miss the NCAA, thus firing Martin.

As long as he stays here, as a lame duck coach, the further this program will be set back.

Don't be surprised if there is only 3 teams from the SEC making it to the Dance, unless another team wins the SEC tourney. Florida and Kentucky are locked. It may boil down to Mizzou and UT.
