I Don't See A Reason Why We Don't Win Out

We don't need to win anymore games. I was hoping like hell we lost last night. We may have been able to leave his ass down in Mississippi where he belongs.

#canwepleasehaveourLord&saviourBrucebacknow?

We've asked nicely and are growing tired of begging here. We even started a ridiculously pompous petition when it seemed like all of the many different "let's collectively fellate Bruce before we hire him back" threads didn't work instantly.

Take two Xanax and call your shrink in the morning ! :)

I cant believe people actually hope we lose because we want a coaching change. That is the most ridiclous statement i have ever heard. You my friend are not a true fan. Look I don't think Martin is the right man for the job and will probably be replaced but I have never rooted for the team to lose.

And one more think I don't think Pearl needs to be referred as our lord and saviour. Last time I checked their was only one of those and it sure is not Bruce.

The reality of the situation is that as long as Martin remains as the coach, the further down the basketball program will go.

2011 - 2012: We lost to Memphis in Hawaii, Oakland, AUSTIN PEAY, COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON & M.T.S.U.

2012 - 2013: We lost to Georgetown, Memphis and Mercer

2013 - 2014: We lost to Xavier, UTEP, A & M, Missouri AND A VANDY TEAM THAT HAD 7 SCHOLARSHIP PLAYERS ON THE TEAM.

Of course, these are just the games that we clearly should have won. There are others that in reality we weren't likely to win.

Martin's 1st season, we didn't get Stokes until January and he wasn't in shape to play college ball.

Martin's 2nd season, Maymon was injured.

Martin's 3rd season, Maymon, McRae & Stokes are healthy, yet we still aren't winning.

If Martin can't win now, what will happen when the roster is not as good as it is now??????/

I am sure all of us can think of 15 to 20 other coaches who would have won more games this season merely by their coaching abilities.

There's also 100 other coaches who would've lost more. Must suck to be a half empty guy all the time.

Vandy at home, Aubarn at their place and Mizz to end the regular season would give us 20 wins. No reason not to finish strong with that remaining schedule. If CCM lays an egg, and that certainly within the realm of possibility, maybe not. i think we at least make the tourney. I think that the Mizzou game ends up being a VERY important match-up to end the season.

I had to read your post two times! Are you seriously talking about a CCM coached team ...? You are proof positive the nation has lost the war on drugs!

Don't be surprised if there is only 3 teams from the SEC making it to the Dance, unless another team wins the SEC tourney. Florida and Kentucky are locked. It may boil down to Mizzou and UT.

What about uga? Aren't they positioning themselves as a possible entry.

We should win out. But on the road against Auburn isn't going to be a cake walk by any means. And Mizzou should be tough.

I was thinking the same while watching Auburn yesterday, but then I looked at who they were playing. Take care of Vandy, then win at the barn and we're down to our last game, at our house, with a lot on the line. who knows. Mizzou is a tough one, for sure, but I really think we should win it.

It has to sux to be satisfied with a mediocrity coach and program. I would think a true fan would want success.

Anyone see Stokes snap at Reese last night for missing a defensive assignment? CCM called a timeout and Reese was never seen again.

The thing is the Vols haven't been relevant at all since CCM took over. Regardless of whether he makes the NCAAT this year, the point remains that if by chance he stays as the head coach of the Vols basketball team, we will continue to be irrelevant and mediocre.

No enthusiasm, no excitement - just boring, ugly freaking, badly coached basketball which will continue if CCM is retained. This is the best roster he has had since he has been here and it isn't getting better.

I don't disagree with any of that. What bothers me, though, is some of the posters on here that wish losses on UT in the last year Maymon, Stokes take the floor for the Vols. Not that you're one of them, just a statement of fact. I NEVER want to be one of those guys, even if they're 'in the know,' who does that. Given the incoming recruiting class, CCM will have cooked his own goose by midway next season and the search will begin. Frankly, i want him gone too but let's stand behind the boys while they are still standing.

Serious question though - Were you ready to endure and/or willing to accept another year of Dooley?

Couldn't agree more. Stokes is likely not returning, Maymon & Jordie Mac are in their senior year so this may be the last decent team they have cause on paper it doesn't look pretty next year. Gotta support the guys as they give it their all.

Good question. But the only way I know to answer it is that there is no way I would wish losses on my team to achieve that end. Fact is, I'm glad he was sent packing.

Cuonzos Team Is Unwatchable At The Moment In My Opinion...Hard To Root For Even. You Wanna See Them Win But Damn Cuonzo Makes FoR SomE Boring and Inconsistent Basketball. I'm Banking On A Loss At Auburn.

I do want success. I just don't have a pathetic enough life to let the success of a basketball program that I never played or worked for impact my happiness. If it is that big of a deal, apply for the job yourself. If you do nothing but donate money, you really don't have much to complain about. And if you get this worked up over it, maybe you should seek psychiatric help and figure out why you're so insecure in your life that you demand and feel like you deserve to live your life through a bunch of 18-21 year olds.
