Who's thumping a chest? I just debate the lunacy statements. And come on, you guys really want to sit around all day and talk about how great UT is in all sports? You need an objective debate. Not Hardwood that agrees with everyone, but someone to point out what you missed. I dont call names, like some of you. I dont say UT is a joke or sucks, or anything like that. I just call it like I see it. If you dont like it, dont respond. You're not hurting my feelings either way. :shaking2:

There are only two reasons for a UK fan to make VN their primary school message board. 1) They consider VN to be the best school message board on the Internet with UK always at least a somewhat relevant topic or 2) They would rather troll on a board whose home team is down than surround themselves with their own.

It's easy to spot #1; it's the guys who are always respectful. It's easy to spot non-of-the above; it's the guys with a small number of posts, because this isn't their primary board. Where does that leave JS?

Or the fact that we get an influx of Ky fans when they just so happened to get Cal and became good again. Funny how that works. Where were these idiots during the Tubby and Biiiiiiiiiiiiiilllllllllly Clyde years? Hiding, like bandwagon fans always do.

Band wagon what? Rupp was still packed when they were awful, they even sold out for the first practices no problem. I havent been to any UT games this year, but from watching TBA on tv it looks like they're renovating large sections in the stands.

As for not posting then....I wasnt aware of this board, but I would have still been here. All teams lose, why would I care?

Bandwagon fans don't go looking for opponent's boards when their team is average or suck like Ky did in Tubby's latter years and Clyde's years. They are hiding in shame. Of course, that flew right over your head.

Again, it's comical how you and the other morons just happened to find this board recently. It has been here awhile. Yet, it's just a coincidence that you show up when Ky has the best players that money can buy while UT is down. Yes, pure coincidence. I'm sure you would've been in here running your flapper during Tubby's downfall and Clyde's drunken reign.

And I understand the numbers. For a football school to be top 5 in anything other than football is saying something. Again, let me know when Ky can ever sell enough tickets to be called top 5 in anything other than hoops.

I like this board - I actually do think it's the best I've been to. I'd love to like the UK boards but no one ever mixes it up on there...the sites themselves aren't as good as this and the conversation is not varied enough to keep my attention.

As far as why I don't go to another powerhouse bball team's board that was a question I hadn't considered before you asked. I would guess (for me at least) I love the SEC and care about the other teams in it and (I'm embarrassed to admit) I love football more than basketball and teams in the big east and acc don't ever talk football.

And why not go to a gator site? They are better than us in bball and football? Because its not as easy to go there and puff your alls chest like it is here?

We're a football school which we rank way up top in attendane, we happen to be a craooy bball team this year and are one again though top 5 in attendance. Let us know when you have TWO sports your top 5 in attendance year in and year out, that was his point.

NEW: All my friends are UT fans, I grew up in Tennessee so that may be why it was the first place (outside of UK) that I looked to join.

It's basketball season

I worried about sounding like a troll if I came on a UT board to talk about UK football the year we end the streak.

I don't blame people for thinking opposing teams fans just come on here to talk s*** (and lots of them do) but that gets boring quick for me.

There is also something to be said for gaining an opposing fan's viewpoint - it never hurts to try to see things through a different lens once in a while.

I can't speak to why other people don't do that, I don't becuase I grew up in Tennessee, most of my friends are UT fans and I just generally feel a connection with TN that I don't with Florida - gel-heads from up north...

So it's trolling to come talk football when it's not football season? They post 1000x as much over there as we do here, it's never out of season over there. And you're worried it'd be perceived as trolling because this is the year the streak ended? Yet this is also the UK I dismantling everyone in bball and having their best year? Not seeing the difference here!

It is nice to have an opposing fans view, that's what hardwood is for, not you BPC or judge. Why don't you share you're opposing view in the football forum and see how that works out for you? Hardwood has EARNED the respect he gets here from his years and time spent not putting in little comments and puffing uk like you BPC and judge like to do sometimes that's the difference.

Me recommendation to the 3 of you and BPC has learned this and is getting better: don't talk about uk at all unless you're asked directly. If we want to bash, hate, and make fun of 24/7 we will it's our board not yours. if you want to share your view on TENNESSEE things only go for it, but leave UK completely out of your statements, unless as I said someone asks you directly about them.

Once again if what we talk about is "getting old to you quick" go somewhere else. You won't be missed I assure you.

again, can't speak for any other fan but I do honestly like his board - I accept the ribbing and keep some opinions to myself but generally enjoy the discussion.
