Christ. We get it, we see your posts and I think we can all agree you guys are the epitome of cool. Honestly, some of you might as well just throw on the Caps Lock on your posts, they just aren't loud enough. Must every thread end with personal attacks on Woolridge and his life off the court? Move on....

I'm beginning to think some of you guys enjoy flame wars on the matter hence constantly shouting for anyone to engage in one with the same worn out material.

BUT I DON'T LIKE TO YELL.

Gotta hit the FT's and some 3's but UK certainly has not been playing well on the road.

As most know, I picked Vandy to beat UK Saturday and to probably lose 2 out of their 4 road games on this current swing.

Against decent competition (minus LSU, Ark), this team has not shown the ability to run away with games on the road. Furthermore, even when we are at home and build a 15 point lead, we tend to give it back.

What they have shown is the ability, time and time again, to come away with close wins and thrive in clutch situations. (please don't insert officiating argument here)

There is no way I see UK running UT out of the gym in TBA, not going to happen. On the other hand, I can see UT pushing out to a 10-12 point lead, but UK erasing it by the end of the game.

Each time I pick them to lose on the road due to freshmen mistakes and inexperience, they still manage to win while doing all those things wrong. Its a team that wants to win, and will fight like hell to do it.

I think a loss in Knoxville is very possible, but I'm not so sure about my prediction anymore. If UK keeps its rebounding margin where it should be and doesn't turn the ball over, I think they come out with the win.

It will be a good game, IMO.

Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, we have a winner. But, they do it all in the name of love; they really care about the team so that is why they call the players names.

The only people that don't think it's OK to criticize (read: unnecessarily insult everyone) the team are the "Pearl Slurpers", as if liking your coach were a bad thing.

I've learned to just laugh at it. Obviously, they don't like the coach, said it many times. And, that in turn will translate into disdain for the players and a desire for all to fail, so they can say, "I told you so", is spite of their claims otherwise....

It's the same way at most schools, I'm sure. And if we don't agree, it's because we are mediocre people, satisfied with mediocrity...

Law, I think Renaldo must've stole your girlfriend or ran over your dog, something. I've rarely seen someone so eager to make as many attacks on a player as you with Woolridge.
He lives in their head....dont take my words; read their post. Renaldo OWNS them. Little men get upset so easily. Maybe Renaldo spurned Lofton4threes "advances"?
Bones never lie.

And you must have some sort of crush on Woolridge because I've never seen somebody so quick to the defense of one of the worst scholarship players TN has ever had.

Haha, please. Did you read my post? I wasn't defending him, just asking you a question about why you obsess about the kid so much. I've rarely seen a fan hate all aspects of one player-on and off the court. Good for you.

Yea, you're right. That's why Lofton had already dubbed you "moral compass" in a thread about Swipersuck that I posted nothing in.

Witch, I will concede this point to you. Orthopedics and orthopaedics are both acceptable spellings of the word. I actually found that somewhat interesting after our little debate. I had never seen it spelled your way, but I do apologize because I found that that is also an acceptable spelling. :hi:

Why would I care what he says? You two are like conjoined twins or a teenage couple. In fact, I'm surprised he hasn't shown up yet to defend your honor in this thread.

Regardless, it still doesn't address my earlier question.

It doesn't matter to me if you care what he says or not. The point was that you've been here defending Woolridge long before I said the first word about him; yet, you claim that I'm the one that's obsessed.

I'm here.

And you are the moral compass. We all need it, thanks for doing your part.

Anyone have any idea on what tickets might be going for on the street for this one? Maybe similiar to the Kansas game?

I'm wondering this as well - I plan on going up there with my dad and I'm wanting something in the lower levels. Not super low, but reasonable to where we can see everything clearly.

I would think higher but that is just my opinion. I've heard some people say they are having to pay more for this ticket as opposed to Kansas.

If the same refs that had the Ky at Miss St game ref the Tenn game with Ky we dont have a chance. That was bad refs. lol That being said i think Tenn will beat Ky. And i dont think Ky will go far in the NCAA tourney. They have gotten alot of breaks this year. I know they got alot of good players but Cal has a thing in the NCAA tourney, The Memphis teams had as much talent as Ky does.

Good luck. Should be a good game and I am looking forward to watching it. The only time I don't cheer for tn is when they play against ky and even then it is bitter sweet.

My prediction is that ky wins and people on these boards cry about the refs more.

I will if the officiating is one way favoring UK. I'll be the first to admit it. If we lose straight up with officiating equal on both sides, I won't.

After reading this thread, it doesn’t appear there is much support for the Vols in terms of a favorable outcome on Saturday. From my perspective, I believe this game will contain all the elements of the rivalry it is…in other words, throw out the current team records and play ball.

I honestly wish that UT was at full strength though, particularly with Chism. Nuff said already about T. Smith although I wish he were playing. I also expect to see Hopson play inspired basketball against the Cats. Regardless, UT knocked off #1 KU and, believe me, that doesn’t go unnoticed from my neck of the woods.

UK had to pull a rabbit out of beat UT a couple of weeks ago…remember the half time score had the Vols down by only a single point. I fully expect a hard fought game, a rowdy crowd, and a quick start for UT…the Cats will have to be ready for that. IF the Tenn fans turn out in force, I don’t believe UK has faced the sheer numbers of opposing fans that can be produced in this game.

Much has been written here about officiating and a fair whistle. I couldn’t agree more with that general sentiment. FWIW, when UT came to Rupp, the Vols committed 24 PFs and UK was whistled for 18. UT starters were charged with 13 of those 24 (Chism didn’t start but finished with 4) and UKs starting 5 had 12….a bit closer in that context. Officials for that game were Green, Petty and Groover…not sure yet who will be at TBA.
