I feel bad for Jalin Hyatt

Well to be fair Hooker is in fact currently on a team with Super Bowl aspirations and Hyatt is currently on a team battling for last place with the Panthers.

True.

The NFL is designed to by cyclical in competitiveness and everyone will be a playoff contender sooner or later. The Giants actually get to win super bowls every 10-15 years while teams like the Lions, Browns, and Titans get to make it to a conference championship every once in a blue moon.

The Lions will not move on from Goff as long as they have aspirations to make a deep playoff run. Hooker won’t get to start for this roster unless Goff gets injured, and even then he won’t become QB1 unless Goff is out for the season.

It’s not really a career building situation for Hendon at the moment. He needs to get with a team that needs him at QB1 today and hope he gets to be a part of that rebound, rather than the downward trend.

Hooker is in a pros/cons situation. That's a program that seems to have it's ish finally together and a coach that seems to "get it". That's all nice but as you say it's unlikely he's going to get a real shot at QB1 without outside circumstances for at least a couple seasons. The other side of that is going to a place where he'd get immediate opportunity but potentially having to do so surrounded by poor coaching, mediocre talent or both and having a rough go of it at best and get injured at worst.

Ideally he could find himself going to a pretty solid team that just happens to be weak at the QB position. His other problem is his resume is really thin. He'd never even played in a preseason game until this season.

I would him rather not go to some bad organization. If it's year 4 or 5 at Detroit, so be it. If he were traded to someone, I would want that to be a solid org as well.

He needs to go somewhere with a qb that has a big arm. Bills or chiefs would be perfect. It’s been sad af to watch him since last year continually get open down field and either the qb under throws it or just don’t even look his way cause he knows he can’t hit him anyway

Rodgers is a two year player at the Jets. They have pretty adequate personnel now everywhere else. That's the "sneaky" best place he could go from the Lions
