I feel bad for Stokes

Unless Stokes develops a new sense of quickness and explosiveness, I don't think his NBA future is looking too great.

But Stokes is a legitimate 4.4 40 yard dash guy

@JarnellStokes ran a 4.46 forty yard dash today!!! #MONSTER #LETSGO!!!!

Stokes is Charmin extra soft.

This is dumb as hell. The guy just has no skills and hasn't worked to develop any. He mauls people for rebounds and fouls like he's blind. Soft isn't an issue, so stop repeating idiocy you hear from other morons on this board who don't know their asses from their ears.

When he has the ball on the block he is timid as hell.

No he isn't in the least. He just has no skills with which to do anything. He turns it over, missiles shots or bulls his way to the basket and misses layups. It isn't softness. The guy is a powerhouse and needs coaching and forced practice to get a feel for the ball and the basket.

There is physical toughness and mental toughness. He lacks the mental toughness.

We are the worst team I have ever seen offensively with the talent we have. Pretty much everything we do offensively is wrong!!!!!!!!!1

Last time I checked, you don't need to run the 40 on a basketball court. Explosiveness on a basketball court and 40 time don't go together.

Gets his shot blocked more than any 6'9" player I have ever seen. Can't get off the floor, no explosiveness = No NBA in his future.

Plain and simple, the kids slow. Maybe it's the clown feet? Who knows. But he is slow physically and mentally at times. Why the hell he puts the ball on the floor under the basket is beyond me. Catch and jump/shoot. If a guy of his stature can't do that consistently under the basket, then he's toast.

Based upon?

He clearly hasn't been asked to work on any skills whatsoever. He has none. The mental toughness and softness silliness is message board idiocy.

His panic when he has the ball is one part. His stupid fouls that he has been making since he got here is another. Mental mistakes kill his game along with lack of skills , like you said.

and the lack of inconsistent shooting from the perimeter from the rest of these fools also contributes to that..

My observation is that Stokes has been left to develop his game on his own. I see no improvement since he arrived from Memphis. Complete coaching failure.

Will be interesting to see his combine height measurement. Looks a lot closer to 6'6" than 6'9" to me.

He's a fine college player but does struggle against longer opponents and refs that don't allow physical play. Didn't show well against WS, but neither did Maymon. Both those guys have talent. Makes me tend to think there is no offensive play calling to take advantage of their abilities? On my TV screen, comparing WS's offensive flow to UT's was like high schoolers to middle schoolers.

Maymon looks like he's not as quick as he was before the injury. Both players have been a huge disappointment so far this season.

Stokes just had 4 straight double doubles . Hardly a disappointment, just a disappointing game.

Agree about Maymon. He is not the same player. At least not yet
