I find it hilarious

Just having fun, there is validity to your points. I'm not ready to give up yet, CMs teams have improved each year down the stretch and I still think the team is not very talented. I was thinking in the second half that they could have won if they just spread the floor each time down and let Jordan do what he do. But I don't think its quite that simple but the outcome could have possibly been different.

I haven't given up. I just can't believe that's how we showed up. Contrary to everything he has mentioned and what I expected. As far as you not thinking we are talented, it's because we don't have an offense that showcases their talents. No flow. No nothing.
CM needs to make wholesale changes in his philosophy, style, gameplanning, in game coaching, etc for this team to win. Will he do it and do something like go to a 4-1 uptempo game earlier than 8-10 games in like last year? Maybe like game 2? Or will he keep doing the same thing and forcefeeding an offensive system that doesn't work for his players. It's up to him whether he wants to go to the Ncaa tourney or not and win a bunch of games. Change and go or stay the same and go home.

Obama lies every day and keeps getting to be the President of the US.

I say allow Pearl to redeem himself. If Zo can't get us to the Sweet 16 then work it out to get Pearl 1 more shot.

The Miami/Mizzouri dude lied & got a whopping 5 game suspension. Pearl got 8 games, fired & banned for 3 years. The NCAA seems to think that's fair & just!

That effort was disappointing and I hope you are right that the offense doesn't showcase our talent because I still think the offensive ability of this team is not good. CM is going to have to get creative because when neither of your bigs has to be fronted your team will always be at a disadvantage. The other team doesn't care if we dump it inside because a decent big man will block their shot or force them into a circus shot. I guess we shall see, GBO!

that all the fans on this site seem to know more about basketball than CCM and staff. TN played horrible against Xavier and still had a chance at the end. This team will only get better. This team will definitely make the tournament.

Why make excuses for the team? IT WAS A LOSS ANYWAY YOU CUT IT!!!! Geez.......do you not understand that the other team won?

You're right, a poor shooting night was the only reason we lost last night. I'm glad you could clear that up for us..

Please tell me a team that has ever won that shot 37% from the line. Bad shooting was one of the main problems.

Xavier missed 11 free throws of their own. It was there for the taking and UT couldn't get it done against a team down 2 starters.

We let yet another opportunity slip through our hands when we need out of conference wins where we aren't sweating it out come Selection Sunday.

So on November 13th, 2013 you're already sweating selection Sunday 2014?

His teams have also improved as the season progresses each year. Probably has nothing to do with coaching ...

Gotta ask tho...why do they start out so poorly that they need to improve so much throughout the season. Most of these guys are upper classmen. Shouldn't they already be improved and ready to play?

A good team has nights where they shoot horribly but still win the game.

I am not jumping off any bandwago and will always support my team and coach. But, I am with Sparty on this one. We could have won last night despite bad shooting by making some adjustments.

IMO, you can't question CCM's motivation techniques or intangibles or maybe even player development. It all boils down to coaching, scheme, and strategy. That is why I say he will recruit really well if he can win and go to the Tournament. He needs to learn and develop as well, and he will do fine if he does.

I'm 100% confident I coach that team to a win last night and don't give a **** if you find it hilarious, really.

If Doug Shows has a whistle, you'll be without Stokes. He has something against Stokes, puts him with 2 quick fouls every time.

If we don't get some wins against some good non-conference teams on the road or at a neutral site then we'll be on the bubble unless we win the SEC tourney. And you know we aren't winning the SEC tourney.

We will hold you to it. Personally, I believe CCM wll be gone at the end of the season. He just doesn't have it.

That's just too many ifs for me to be panicking about selection Sunday on November 13th, but that's just me.

Like I've said now for the thousandth time, if we enter SEC play and are sitting at 8-5 then I will really start to worry.

That's not too many for me. Win some out of conference games against quality competition or we'll be sitting at home. I think we'll have a good idea of what we have after the Battle 4 Atlantis.

Have to go 2-1 in atlantis IMO, would put us at 5-2, which is about what many thought we'd be at that point.

A win at Wichita would also be much bigger than a win at Xavier and that still looms, so plenty of opportunities.

From what I have seen CCM's teams don't get better as a team. They have 1 or 2 players get hot at different times but never gel as a complete team.

I think winning at Wichita St is going to be tough. That's why last night's game was a big game to me. That was much more winnable than the game at Wichita St.

We have to beat Iowa or Xavier in the Bahamas. I hate to say that's a must win, but for our margin of error it will be.

Well, I am sure this team will play better than last night, but we have at least 3 non-conference losses staring us in the face- adding Wichita State and one game in the B4A. That doesn't include UVA, who will play the grind it out game that we don't like. Even though they lost, they held VCU to 59 points.

I would say 2 wins in the B4A tournament is essential.

After last year's Virginia game, I think I'd rather get a root canal than watch us play them again. Look for another game in the 40's-50's.
