That team got in entirely because of the Pitt and Nova wins, even when their play after showed that stretch as a fluke. I can't believe people who were paying attention during that year consider this team to be "backing into" the tourney by comparison.

Incorrect, they won 8 games against teams that were in the NCAA tournament and ended up with 19 wins vs a top 5 SoS. That's why they easily made the field.

This team has 2 wins over teams that are going to make the tourney.

That's why this team is holding onto one of the last 4-6 spots in the tournament and that team was in pretty handily.

That this is the year we get in the tourney. I am looking at the schedule now and we only beat 2 two decent teams they were UVA and Arky. Sure we beat Xavier, but our loss to them cancels it out.

It is just so funny that we have beaten 2 NCAA quality teams when in previous years under CCM, we have beaten Florida and others and had a legit resume to be in the tourney, but this year out of the 3 has been our weakest quality wins and this year out of the three we have seen our worst losses on a resume as well.

So my question is this: Are we playing ourselves in or our we being helped by other teams faltering?

The NCAA committee works in mysterious ways sometimes, but I think this is the 1st year we absolutely deserved to be in it. I thought we did the first year to. I mean, if an 18-13(8-8) was good enough the year before it should have been then as well.
