No such thing.

I don’t want a tournament for the sake of a tournament. I want a small tournament to help identify the team who had the best season (not necessarily the best team).

That’s why I had no issue going to 4, because it was frequent that the 3rd team had a solid argument that they may be the team that had the best season overall.

I don’t think there’s any argument that the 13th team may actually have had the best season, so I see no reason to expand. If anything, shrink

Problem is there are about 130 schools in the top subdivision. 12 of 130 at the end is ridiculous, especially when most are solely based on a collective biased opinion.

Basketball has 365 schools in D1. 68 are invited to the dance at the end of the year. About 19% of schools get in the tourney with an opportunity to win it all.

Football has 134 schools. 12 get in at the end. About 9%. It's absurd. It's the best it's been, but is still too low. There are 10 conferences. Reward every conference winner with a bye. Then have 12 at large (Again the awful biased opinion groupthink). Those teams play first. Now you're down to 16. Go.

Perfect. Chef's kiss. Bow.
