I had respect for Oregon before

and all this time I thought Vandy and Florida had the most classless fans in all of college football.

...really?

I'd probably rate a few more schools above in the "classless" category before a school like Vandy

Can we beat you guys again? I seriously need this. I will trade it for a sweep in basketball. Think about it.

if the team keeps it together and grows/becomes more experienced (and we don't get decimated by injuries at the positions without depth) we should be fine, probably improved enough to play UK well

if, say after disappointing losses to Oregon, UF, Bama and I'll just throw in UGA (for conversation's sake), the team lies down and goes into a "what's the point" like phase where they're just going through the motions and waiting for the year to end....then it might be an ugly last few games

Oregon has the most classless fans in college football... I had to sit in the middle of them tonight, and they would start talking **** but when a Tennessee fan confronted them they shut up fast. They would boo when our players where down injured, started chants such as "Drive home safely" "Where's Bryce Brown".. I lost all respect for the oregon fanbase. I can't wait till we play in Eugene.

i dunno....I mean, I feel every team those fans

we booed a backup freshman WR at UGA last year who was only in because the game was such a blowout. and started chanting "f*** you Bama" actually during a game a few years back"...

I met, or had words with, a few Oregon fans. The ones that were either older than 40 or kids who came with their parents were actually quite cordial and understood football.

That, however, was a very small representation of who came out to Knoxville.

I met quite a few douches that were Oregon fans. Lip rings and nose rings on dudes.. All of em pretty much dress homosexual if they are under the age of thirty.

A lot of the older people were decent but hilarious seeing gray haired men wearing disgusting neon green and yellow nike shoes.

and now after their first quarter jitters are out of the way they are showing their dominance. The classless Duck fans on here though are a great representation of why people want them to fail. Arrogant pricks.

Now beat USC.

My parents said some duck fans sat right behind them at the game and were over the top obnoxious.

glad you've woken up to what the rest of the pac 10 figured out long ago. They think they are a national power or something despite never winning anything.

+1. There was this Oregon girl who I had a few words with. She kept yelling at me "What are you all ranked? Huh? What are you all ranked? Tennessee sucks!" With myself being liquored up on tequila told her to go win 6 national titles then talk some **** to me. Along with the fact I was about to punch her face in. But my husband pulled me in the direction away from her. Then her little boyfriend was like when was your last title like 30 yrs go? The younger Oregon fans were truly disrespectful towards our fans, tradition, and what has been accomplished at UT. If you are going to go and play a team that has rich tradition and has accomplished more in one sport than than your entire athletic program, have some class and respect. I never run my mouth about another school until they start crap on my vols.

They are truly classless, I will never have respect for oregon.. They are more arrogant than UF fans.

I apologize on behalf of the younger generation of Duck fans. Hopefully the actions of a few don't turn you away from visiting Autzen in 2013. Fact is, Oregon hasn't been good for long and likely wont be able to sustain the success, some just don't know how to handle it.

This sounds the opposite of what I've heard. All Duck fans I know said they really enjoyed Neyland and the hospitality they received, and the few Vols on my favorite Duck message board said they had a great time interacting with Ducks that made it down for the trip.

Please don't let a few bad apples spoil the bunch, that goes for every fanbase.

The "bad experience" types seem to represent, fairly well, about 90% of the people around Autzen I see numerous times annually on gameday.

And hat... I knew .500 was the idea this year, I had no idea we were truly that terrible.

I didn't see one arrogant Oregon fan to be honest.

And anytime a team kicks your ass it's easy to hate them in the moment.

Quit being babies.

We can bring up tradition all we want, but for now Oregon is a better program.

I wouldn't say we are terrible.

Have you not seen the tools the Oregon fanbase has just on this very board?

So when we kick someone's ass, we should act like complete douche bags? The rude fans I encountered with was before the game. I'm sorry, I have a little respect for other teams to not act trashy. That goes for any team, even Florida and Alabama (maybe).

I saw quite a few. BEFORE the game started. I'm not being a baby, I just call it like it is...trashy.

Two or three decent posters and the rest morons? That ratio is about on par with the Florida posters and is substantially better than the bammers.

When did I say they were better or worse than any other fan base?

I didn't mention anything about any other fan base, I'm only talking about the posters here on VolNation.

I sat in section II, and most of them where blatantly disrespecting Vol fans in our own stadium.. I even heard a couple of them call us "sister ****ers". Also, they where making fun of our national championships saying "they were from 100 years ago, who cares?"

milo. I would like to personally walk around with you on your annual game-day visit to Autzen to see and document what strange area you're going to.

I've been going to games there for over 20 years and have rarely seen "trashy" behavior. And 90% of those times it was mutual jawing with conference rival fans.

--

I apologize for any Duck fan that got out of line at Neyland. Though, it's hard for me to believe that it was as bad as some of you make it sound when I've seen so little of that behavior at Autzen itself.
