I had respect for Oregon before

Agreed. Just returned from the game. Their fans were absolutely vile. They kept teasing us about going 10 years without a national championship...Ha, at least we have one. Two fans had enough nerve to yell smart ass remarks in a sea of orange. I quickly reminded them of where they were and that they were greatly outnumbered... and this was before the game started. I expected them to beat us, but I was pretty damn surprised at how rude they were.

Oh, of course I know we claim 6, but I was making the point that I'd rather have the most recent one being ten (roughly) years as opposed to none.

It has been 12 years guys.. I know math is a bit ridiculous sometimes.

It's not that I can't do basic math. No need to get technical. I was just paraphrasing what was said to me...and it's just been so long I don't care to keep track anymore. Depressing.

11 years.... Just saying.

Thank you, sir.

Wheaton has the least credibility out of any of the Oregon posters on here.. so.. it would be foolish to take his side. Only makes one look bad one they take Wheaton "I-like-to-type-way-too-much-for-a-single-forum-post-and-make-it-pointless-and-illogical" 4prez's side.

Just an fyi for those who haven't been around long enough to witness his awesomeness on Volnation.

Translation: "That guy makes me really, really mad!"

you stadium holds 50,000 and you have no competition sports wise. this isn't even remotely impressive. sorry.

We've been over this.

The official capacity is 54,000. But, it regularly holds more: Autzen Stadium - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Given Oregon's population and how far most people have to drive to attend a game at Autzen, it is impressive.

Not sure what Cal's excuse is for having several times as many people living a short drive away from their stadium and not selling it out every game.

Just finally was able to stomach the replay of the game. Man we were beating the holy dog s$it out of them in the beginning. Can't believe it turned out the way it did. Gotta give respect for Oregon for not folding when they were down early.

I wouldn't have said anything if both of you hadn't said pretty much the same thing. It was pretty funny.

Haha, it's not like I'm going to correct them and be like...No actually, it hasn't been 10 years...it's been 12. The point of the conversation was that they were slamming us for taking so long to win another NC when they have won zero. No need for the petty corrections.

To put it short, I don't believe your story. And I've gone to far more games there than you.

It's a nice little world of denial that you live in. It obviously can't be true because Ducks = the bestest! What combination of arrogance, ignorance and pure stupidity makes you think that no one can have a bad experience around drunk football fans?

I didn't say that it wasn't possible. I've just rarely seen anything like that there. Having gone to far more games, my observation is supported by more evidence.

To be honest if we go to oregon and turn the game into a track meet I'm pretty sure we ll have our fair share d bags there talking trash too. When oregon plays usc I'll be pulling for them to drop a hundred. I can't wait to see monte s tampa 2 to get destroyed by oregon s spread! Go Vols Go!

The funny thing is that almost all the other Vol message boards and blogs had great experiences with Oregon fans. This was the first place I've heard anything absurdly negative.

I am not surprised to hear this about Oregon fans. I have only came across two decent Duck fans on the message boards. The rest were very obnoxious. I could only imagine how they'd be in real life.

As with all fans, better than on message boards.
