I hate Bama, but...

AJ McCarron seems like a good guy, and this is great to see. It's good to see folks give of themselves, and I respect AJ. This is a special time of year, and brings out the best in folks...we need to remember to carry acts like this throughout the year.

But on a sports related side note: We don't give a D@mn about the whole state of Alabama!!!

I think a good deed is perfectly acceptable and admirable in today's age.

But I also remember how childish he was in the game against us and the comments he made in the immediate aftermath. He still has some growing up to do.

Believe it or not, there are more important things in life than hating Bama. Class act and I love reading stories like this from players of any team.

I thought it childish of the staff calling them "red team". They're Bama, silly and ineffective psychological tactic aside. He wasn't childish at all for reminding them.

His chest tattoos reveal who he really is: a scumbag. Let's see how many sick kids he helps after his NFL career flops. This is all PR.

He did say he wanted to score all the points they could, in other words run the score up. Glad the barn beat their zzz.

Then Jones needs to grow up too, considering he was responding to Jones' silly "red team" stuff.

Man I have to be honest with you. It's a great thing to see but there are athletes all around college football who have made bonds with people who haven't been dealt the best hand. He only gets the publicity because he plays for Bama.

Its a good thing never the less.

That was meant to be internal and should not have been released.

Ignorant comment to make. Plenty of people have tattoos but that doesn't make them a scumbag. I have tattoos... my wife has a half sleeve tattoo. Doesn't make us "scumbags." We aren't perfect by any means but we are both very active Christians here in Knoxville.

AJ's NFL career might flop...but hey, at least he will get a shot. More than 99.9% of the rest of us can say. And AJ is doing stuff like this all the time. I hate Bama...but I genuinely respect McAaron. Just like I hate Florida, but Tim Tebow might be the only Gator I ever cheered for because of the person he is off the field.
