Such an excellent post... except for the red elephant stew part. After all, I'm a Bama fan. But as much as I hate UT, and believe me, the sight of orange makes me puke, I have a huge amount of respect for the Vols. You people know football. This series between Bama and UT is more important to me, as a Bama fan, than the Auburn game. I can handle losing to Auburn (though it'll be the 22nd century before that happens again...), but I HATE losing to Tennessee. I can't stand it. As for the younger Vol fans saying the UT-Florida rivalry is more important, do they not realize that's just a manufactured rivalry with the SEC divisions? That's not a real rivalry. A real rivalry is a damn Hatfield-McCoy feud, not shoved together by a divisional split, but there because the teams want to fight each other for the simple sake of beating the holy sh.t out of each other. That's a rivalry, and that's Bama-UT.
Maybe I am in the minority here, but my dislike of Bama doesn't even approach my hatred for Florida. While I have met many Bama fans that I truly liked and respected, I have yet to meet a single Florida fan that I didn't HATE. At least with Bama fans, they have a winning tradition that you can respect. The majority of Florida fans are nothing but band-wagon, fair-weather types. You have the fans that jumped on board when Spurrier was the coach (and then disappeared when Zook took over) . . . and now you have all of those who couldn't even spell F-L-O-R-I-D-A before these last two championships. I'm not saying there aren't any good people out there rooting for the Gators. I'm just pointing out that I have never met any of them.
I have been to games down in Gainesville three times, and I came away from each experience being ashamed that these "people" were part of the SEC fanbase. Dumping beer on people, shouting obsenities with young children present, starting fights, etc. Every team has their "bad apples" but this was waaaaay bad . . . just as bad as drunk LSU guys. That is why I have always been proud of UT fans. In all my years of watching the Vols, I can say that our fans, by and large, are among the nicest and most gracious that the Nation has to offer. We are rapid and loyal but not obnoxious and vulgar. Games at Neyland have a nice family atmosphere.
On the other hand, my experiences with Bama fans has been almost uniformly positive.
Either way, Go Vols!!! Beat Bama!!!!!!
My thoughts on Lame Kiffin, Head Coach (lol) of the once-great Tennessee Volunteers:
This guy reminds me of a teenager -- one in about the 6th or 7th grade. Not only does he say the kinds of things one would expect from a young teenage boy, but his very demeanor is teen-like. Contrast Kiffin and Saban. One is a boy and the other a man. Heck, Kiffin even has to have his dad hold his hand on the sideline. He is really not mature enough for the SEC. Sure, TN played a very good game, but SEC coaching is for adults. He needs to go back to his room, get on his bunkbed and share these complaints with his poster of My Mom.

His comments after the game should cause embarrassment to every self-respecting TN fan. In fact, his teenage-like mouth should be a regular source of embarrassment. Maybe you should conduct a petition drive to ask him to take some hormones and grow up. I would imagine that you have players on the team that are more mature than the coach! It is really pathetic, you must admit.
One question: When he starts shaving, will you all put his first razor on display?
