I hate the Alabama Crimson Tide... (edited for clarity on page 10/17)

If you could take all those good fishing lakes out of Alabama and move em to Tennessee or KY. There would be no use for that state at all. Actually we should make it a permanent dumping zone, seeing is half the state looks like one anyways.

Been to Knoxville lately?

Been to Tuscaloosa Lately? :hi:

Not to change subject. As much as I did not like Phil Fulmer, don't you think he is better than this Coach you have? Come on, he got fired from the Raiders!

and the turnaround that happened after he left the Raiders was amazing! I bet they win the SB this year

He's better than Fulmer and the staff is light-years ahead

That's cool! Just wanted a fan's perspective. I just thought Fulmer had a better understanding of the SEC type of Offenses and Defenses.....Time will tell......

At another of my alma maters, they have an embodiment of a spirit that annually moves through campus, aggravating professors, freeing students from class and generally upholding what is good and right in the world from a student's point of view. His name is Dooley. (not Vince, this is a different school)

At Tennessee, his name is BUCK FAMA!!!

Good luck! I think it will be pretty close for a half and we pull away in the second. That seems to be our M.O.

I don't think you'll pull away. Will be closer than most think. Saban will be quoted as saying that he thinks Kiffin didn't want to win the game because we didn't throw the long ball in the fourth quarter.

He will also claim swine flu only to find out later that it is not sexually transmitted.

Great unity in Texas today

Long read but well worth it. Glad that soon both Bama and UT will be back to premier programs at the same time - it's been a while!

I was just looking to dig out this thread and dust it off. I see, as always, you guys are way ahead of me. :)

This is THE BEST Tennessee post I have ever read. Anyone not reading it is doing theirselves an injustice. GO VOLS!! and roll tide roll around the toilet and DOWN the hole!!!!!!!!!!!!

The biggest difference between the UT/Bama series and the UT/UF series are plenty...One UT/Bama have tons of history on their side, They are the two most successful programs in the SEC....Both have legendary coaches...Neyland/Bryant...Both have rabid fan bases and there use to be a strong respect between the two schools however due to the Fulmer gate stuff it turned into pure hatred...I still however hold a great deal of respect towards the Alabama football tradition...I honestly look at this rivalry as being on par if not bigger than OSU/Michigan and some of the other rivalries in the country...It's always a WAR regardless of the records...UT/UF is nothing more than hatred between the two schools and I can't wait for the day they crash back down to earth and their bunch of bandwagon fan base runs looking for another team to leech off of...With that being said...IT'S BEAT BAMA WEEK!!!!!!...Time to make some red elephant stew!

Such an excellent post... except for the red elephant stew part. After all, I'm a Bama fan. But as much as I hate UT, and believe me, the sight of orange makes me puke, I have a huge amount of respect for the Vols. You people know football. This series between Bama and UT is more important to me, as a Bama fan, than the Auburn game. I can handle losing to Auburn (though it'll be the 22nd century before that happens again...), but I HATE losing to Tennessee. I can't stand it. As for the younger Vol fans saying the UT-Florida rivalry is more important, do they not realize that's just a manufactured rivalry with the SEC divisions? That's not a real rivalry. A real rivalry is a damn Hatfield-McCoy feud, not shoved together by a divisional split, but there because the teams want to fight each other for the simple sake of beating the holy sh.t out of each other. That's a rivalry, and that's Bama-UT.
