I have ZERO doubt that we beat Georgia

I’m not saying GA overlooks us. But, do they come in thinking, hey we beat these guy’s such and such last year? Does hubris play a part in their game plan next week?

No way. These dudes are defending National Champions. They are a championship caliber team this season.

They have showed in the Mizzou and Florida games that they have killer instinct switch that they can turn on.

However, this Tennessee team is not the type of team you do that with.

UGA needs to do the same game plan than UK wanted to do. Slow the game down. Limit possesions and score on their own.

Bama has the kind of offense than can fight their way back into the game. UGA does not.

Stop their run game and make Bennett beat us through the air. Keep what we're doing on offense. No one has stopped our offense yet. Throw in a few tactical wrinkles and there you have the recipe for a great win. I believe we will put it all together against the dogs, and we will win this game.

We have the edge in coaching no doubt. I’m a little concerned about their TEs and RBs in the flat and our tendency for poor tackling. It will be a close game and we can’t afford to punt and better hit extra points and field goals when needed.

I guess I'm a little biased but this team has the feel of the LSU Burrow team that rose from nowhere and surprised the entire football world. With the Defense coming together I don't think anyone can beat them. If GA can't run they are dead meat and I don't think Stetson can handle the pressure our front 7 will bring. Maybe it's all a dream but I'm seeing 15-0. If it is, hope I don't wake up. GBO. We been waitin for this a long time.

The most any opponent has scored against UGA defense is 22 pts this season, so thinking that this is going to be a high scoring game is based on what?
Bama was averaging 12.5 a game til we played them. Their last it went back to 6. But we aint beat nobody?

Notice the team we just ransacked 44-6. They were very much a weaker version of UGA mainly because talent and the TE position.

Jalin Hyatt is a force of nature that no defense has a remedy for.
Oh, and we also still have that dude that had like 200+ yards receiving against them last year in Cedric Tillman.
Our RBs whole the middle of the field.
Our QB breaks down defense when they play their assignment perfectly with his legs.
Also, Bru is an automatic 1ST DOWN. Check his stats and see the percentage of catches as 3rd down conversions.

Georgia has a powerful oline with strong rbs. Very difficult TEs to deal with. Bowers is a pure football player. BUT, the remedy to slow them down is what you saw against UK last night. Keep them off schedule. Play a lot of bear front and force Stetson Bennett to do his own Bryce Young impersonation.

Slaughter, Flowers, McCullough, Harrison, Josephs, Beasley, want to prove to UGA that they are real Georgia ballers too.
Omari Thomas, Jabari Small, Jeremy Banks, McDonald, Tyler Barron, Cooper Mays, Jerome Carvin also want to prove Tennessee ballers are legit as well!

But back to Jalin Hyatt 😏.
Georgia...nor anyone else has a answer for his connection with Hendon.

Georgia will find themselves down 28-7 with no Bryce Young type player to bail them out.

Bowers will get his. He just will, but that won't be enough.

Keys to the game:
Throw to Hyatt and throw it deep.
Banks must neutralize McIntosh.
DL hold their own in the run game.
Hooker must run more to keep us on schedule.
Bru and Tillman keep converting 3rd downs.

Score prediction
44- 24 Vols

I hope you're right, but UK had a very similar thread right before our game with them. Let's not let the hubris get too out of hand...

Our Defense is coming into its own much like the Offense. That makes me believe we’ll beat Georgia. Stetson is only as good as his O-Line keeps him protected. Our D line and Pass Rush is gonna make him have a long day. Overall we’re getting better as a program. Watching Georgia the last few games, I can’t say the same for them.

My neighbor is a die-hard BammerAlumni. However he said UT beat Bama fair & square. He also has watched several UGA games (which I haven't). He said "TN will beat UGA". The man knows his football and I fully agree with him.

Their DL made Florida, at least in the 1st half that I watched, made Florida look like a JV ream.
AR being hurt a little bit helped. You have to remember we use tempo. As long as we stay ahead of the chains, they won't be able to sub different linemen when they get tired.

This may be in the thread somewhere, but just in case ...

The biggest intangible in Coach and his staff. The KY game plan was masterful. And, the players were ready, excited and prepared. There were some mistakes, and I'm quite certain the coaches will address them.

After so many years of trainwreck after trainwreck, Danny White found us an alchemist who turns unknowns and transfers into gold.

GA has a good team and a lot of talent, so, obviously, they could win. But, to beat these Vols, GA's gonna need every bit of that talent and play the game of their lives. If that happens, we'll all be okay because we know OUR team will have left it all on the field.

But, what I EXPECT is Coach to have the GA defense winding their butts as Vols run past them into the end zone and Sanford Stadium will transform into a graveyard after the VOLS WIN!

And, then ... What happens if we go into the SEC Championship with a healthy team, free from any major injuries? Will Toothless Nation send moving vans to Nick's house if we beat them twice?

Ok I made my point. Who cares about semantics.
Uhm everything??

So sorry to be a butt, but you did not make a point.

You basically said, "I'll believe we beat UGA when I see it happen".

Well no ####...

There's nothing to believe at that point.

And yeah, at this point don't you think our Vols deserve a little more confidence??
I mean they beat # 1 Alabama. You "believe" that happened, right?

Your comment was something that would have a place 4 weeks ago.
It's just BVS now.

Saying, "UGA is good. Can't wait to see how it turns out" would have been more appropriate.

We've only beaten FIVE TOP 25 teams this season... so I "believe" we're tested.

We can win, but Georgia is knees, shoulders and head better than Kentucky. It will be a tough game.
They are, but Tennessee absolutely took their foot off the gas/ got in their own way some last night.

We should have beaten #19 Kentucky, 65-6

All that size and strength on their offensive size don't mean much if their 5'10 QB has to throw it 30 times because his team is down 21 points

Georgia has one thing we haven’t faced yet. A pass rush that keeps coming with a combination of big fast linemen and blitz scheme. Hooker will need to be Mobil in this game.

You could make the argument that Georgia has gotten worse as the season has progressed while Tennessee has done nothing but improve. Stetson Bennett is playing sloppy football and that should be a huge concern for their offense.

Georgia will have better athletes in the secondary and on the Defensive Line

Georgia has faster, not stronger RB, and a much much better O Line

Georgia has elite TEs

Georgias weakest points are their QB and lack of take your top off WRs

They key to the game will be our O Line and Hookers decision making.

We need to make our FGs
Any team that has a great QB, like Alabama the last few years, has been a big problem for GA. I don't think they've really been tested by a great QB. I think we do this year

And we have the highest scoring offense in the country, our strength to air it out and play it perimeter to perimeter is how you have to attack their D
